    I was wondering...

could it be possible for someone to enter a blackhole and travel to another universe, etc?

They say that one something enters a black hole it never comes out.

But could this be false, and we can go somewhere we never thought we could without the use of a machine?

Give me your possible ideas, because this may happen one day.

Well you've answered your own question by saying that nothing ever comes back through a black hole so we won't know if it goes anywhere or destroys us or something else.

blackholes gravity makes a pencil weigh more than a planet, it crushes anything caught in it

Exactly. Whatever goes in may eventually go somewhere...(wouldn't it fill up over time?) But I'm sure it would be crushed almost instantly.

Well no, in no way is any of that possible. First you have to examine what a black hole is. A Blackhole is defined to be an area with a strong gravitional pull that is so strong that it is cut off from the rest of the universe. So strong that anything including light, raditation, etc can not escape.

The thing about blackholes are that they are operating on a different levels. First as you approach what is called the event horizon, in an area called the ergosphere, as you get close time begins to slow down for the object falling to it. For said object, time goes to infinty, stating you never reach the event horizon, to the object. To an observer it just looks like you are falling. As you cross the event horizon, you under go Spaghettification (yes it is a real term), which deforms any object in the direction of the gravitional pull. And as you are in the event horizon you come to what is called a singularity. Where you atoms are subatomic particles are torn apart leaving nothing.....said object and person is destroyed.

What I think you are looking for is Wormhole....which basicly is a 'shortcut' through space. It is two openings connected by a 'throat', so in theory you could I would think, but it is impossible to figure out where the exit will throw you out to. Plus from what I have read, you travel faster than the speed of light, which is almost unapproachable...that is an area of science that is not very developed.

I do think they should get a camera and send it through a blackhole- they could see what was inside or never see the camera again XD

My teacher did say that the black hole's gravity is sooooooooo strong- he said nothing else about it.

I know all of that. What I'm saying is could we enter one of the eventually.

I am in no way being rude, but what part about atoms tear apart was not understood. It is impossible, nothing really exists at a singularity.

I understand. :). Do you think if we drop a camera into the black hole we could see what would happen, maybe?

I don't think so, it depends on how images and such are transmitted, but the thing is as the camera were to approach the event horizon it would be deformed like crazy. Thus making it impossible to see what is inside with a destroyed camera. Anyways, things like that are transmitted by waves which cannot get out of the event horizon. So no I don't think it is possible at all.

I suppose it might be impossible but it's worth trying.
