People play games for different reasons though.
Games that are designed to be extravagant and beautiful are made specifically for people who enjoy looking at pretty things more then anything. It's pretty arrogant to say that someone is wasting their time if they enjoy a game for a particular reason.

No. Having an opinion is forming a view or judgment on something. Liking one thing over another is having an opinion. What he's doing is telling other people not to have an opinion. I find the fact that you feel that having opinions entails devaluing those of others is somewhat saddening.

I was merely kidding on the matter, how opinions can be disagreeable.
Maybe should of put an emoticon or something to make it clearer, but that's more of a IM thing for me.

It is more that I've heard this kind of thing with a serious tone so many times that I've started to get used to that more than its humorous counterpart.
