I play games because they're games. Simple as that.

No. Having an opinion is forming a view or judgment on something. Liking one thing over another is having an opinion. What he's doing is telling other people not to have an opinion. I find the fact that you feel that having opinions entails devaluing those of others is somewhat saddening.

 

In all honesty the main thing that draws me to a game, or anything with a story, is the aesthetics, such as character designs or settings. That said, if the story is so abysmal that it can't hold up to my expectations going in, I won't continue playing it, even if the designs are the best thing I've ever seen.

I like to play games that I find fun, but really because of the story or aesthetics. I know that most people think it's a little silly to like a game without thinking much into the story, but yeah, that's how I feel! :'D
Though, I'm not saying that the story is nothing, I do also enjoy games because of its story, but I find how fun it is to be more important. c:

Playing games only for their graphics is like watching porns only for their story.
Sure beautifull things are great, but if the story and game play dosnt support it, is a waste of time... like Asura's Wrath that was a great promisse, but the gameplay spoiled the game.
