Apparently school's can't be bothered to send you an email to let you know when some of the classes you signed up for switch days. I just found out that my Thursday classes are now a Tuesday class, and I have no idea how long they've been like that. Now I have to go in to work tomorrow and let my boss know about this, even though the schedule for the next few months is already made. Can college never do anything right? On the bright side, I at least found out that I got an A in both of my Fall classes. First A's in college so far

this past semester i was finishing up the last two classes for my degree so naturally they were the ones i'd put off for ages, one of them being french 102. the only option for it was an 8am class which is roughly when i go to bed so i was really hopeful i wouldn't have to register for it

when registration day finally rolled around, i searched french 102 in our course lookup thing and saw there was a 9:30 one also scheduled. naturally i was psyched and immediately put in for it, even though there was no professor listed and nobody else had registered for it

two days later i got an email saying the listing was a mistake and that i should register for the 8am. like why you gotta tease me like that

Well, I think I understand why it happened, but it's still stupid. The teacher for the three classes I'm taking works for two schools at once, since WCJC and Houston of Sugarland share that campus, and sometimes things get fought over with classes and such, but it's ridiculous they would change it that close to the start of the semester. Now I have to go in to work today and find out how much of an annoyance this has cost

Protip: It happens when you're working too.

A couple years ago, I put in a vacation request like...months in advance to be sure I'd get the time off and they'd get people to work for the time I requested off. Booked my hotel and made all the arrangements. The schedule where I work is made out on a weekly basis. And I left the manager reminder notes that I couldn't work the week in question.

Well, I looked the week before my vacation and find that I'm scheduled to work. Went to find the scheduling manager and was like: 'You know I won't be here next week right? All those notes I left saying I was going to be on vacation?'

He said he forgot and asked if it was possible for me to work. I think I laughed in his face and then said 'nope'. Considering I was not even going to be close to my place of occupation. Try other side of the state.
