the vista aint the XP just yet so please ppl... DONT get Vista right now... wait till most of the hardware, software and things are updated. unlike the PS3 (example) it doesnt have like a motherboard that could run previous games. it the same thing with Vista AND like the Xbox, it only offers backward-compatibility on SOME AND FEW of its games. get a clue lol.

the Macs, like the Linux, are fast, useful in a few ways but Linux is not reliable. Macs are in a way that you are using it for school or videos or projects. Not recommended for AMV since there is a chance that the format wmv aint compatible with a mac's iMovie.

if you want to be all high-tech'ed, have style and still have necessary stuff do this... unless you're poor like me lol:
buy a
-Mac Desktop
-a UBS portable Hard Drive. (Bugger is better but it also means less of the "portable"
-an XP Laptop
-External CD Burner

that way you could store all the videos for your AMV on the USB Hard Disk, have fun with the Mac and burn CD-DVD's @ will without damaging the Laptop and or the Mac Desktop.

that would be in total approx 2500-3000 with tax.
lol i did the math cuz this is my plan lol.



for now... get an XP copy that doesnt have a lot of unusuable programs. download ones needed (iTunes, Limewire) and start filling up that hole that was made by that WTF-is-that-thing-that is-so-freakin-useless Vista.
