    seriously what the heck

everyone i know is down on this movie

even older people who like kids movies are like no way to this

i dont get it -- from the first trailer i was like that looks amazing
would think the novelty of a lego stop motion feature film would be enough to intrigue people
and im not entirely sure if it is stop motion, but its made in a way to at least look stop motion which is close enough

come on people get with it

if it makes you feel any better when I told my mom it was getting really good reviews she was like "Oh, yeah, I thought that one would be good. What's not awesome about legos?"
I haven't seen it yet though.

I don't see the reason behind this thread, no one has really outright said "Lego movie will sux because it's 4 kidz", infact anyone who's mentioned it loves it.

It's computer generated, but specifically in a way that appears to be stop-motion, and just about everything you see is modeled after some actual Lego piece, from the water to the smoke to the lasers.

You know us, we are not showing a lack of faith, so therefore, what the heck?

I just love how the movie gave a giant middle finger to the way movies are made these days.

I saw it last night. Loved it. Best movie in years. Everything from the story to the animation to the theme was just. LOVE LEGOS. Though we all know what this movie REALLY is about. Its a big advertisement for us to all go out and buy more legos. I had that feeling when I came out... I want to buy and play with more legos like when I was a kid. This is an advertisement, but its a damn good advertisement.

I like how the film has a more poignant and relatable and well-displayed central theme than every other film in the Box Office Top 10 Box, except for maybe Frozen.

I haven't seen it, unfortunately I make it to a theater maybe once a year for my birthday, and I'm saving it for the Hobbit. But coming from a fam that fell in love with Lego Star Wars back in the day and has bought almost all the Lego video games (we're still missing Pirates and now, Marvel Heroes, as well as a few others), it looked amazing. We even watched the Lego Avengers little movie on Netflix a few weeks back. It was hilarious. And the youngest member of my fam is almost 15, so none of us are kids. lol, when we saw the commercial for the first time, even my mom was like "That looks hilarious! I can't wait for it to come out on Netflix!" So yeah, I'm super excited about it, especially after hearing such great things about it. :D

This is the first movie in a while (well, except for Frozen) that I've considered going to the theater to see. It's unlikely I will but that's definitely saying something.

The last time I saw a movie in theaters was a year ago ogod

If I'm honest, I couldn't get into any of the trailers, it just didn't look too appealing to me at first glance. But I've been hearing nothing but praise for it, so I do wanna check it out at some point.

Dude, take it from me: the trailers did nothing for me, either. It might help to know, however, that the directors co-directed 21 Jump Street (2012) and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and the writers co-wrote Hotel Transylvania.

    And uh....I liked it...so there's that.
