I have a new computer with monitor sitting in my room. Cost me $1003, but I got it much cheaper than anything else, and after I get my mail-in rebate, it'll feel even cheaper. Payed about one-hundred out of my savings, but I figured that might happen. I was thinking of canceling my New 3DS shipment to save money, but oh well, since it already shipped yesterday. I have been told that my new computer is future-proof, which makes me laugh.

The one thing that bugs me is the placement of it. My desk is too tiny, so I need to place it on the floor, which I don't mind, but I have nothing covering it from the cats, so I'll need to think of that. What I really need is some kind of shelf or something I can stick it in to keep it clear of any kitties and fur

You can buy some spare tile, lay it down, then put the tower on that. That's a pretty popular solution.

Well, for now I just pulled out a thick shelf from my desk that the TV is on and placing it on that, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do tile in my room. My parents get home tomorrow and I'll see what my dad can think of

That'll work too. The tile suggest doesn't mean actually like... putting down tile, just placing it on top of your carpet or whatever. It just tends to look better than a random plank of wood, but whatever you've got that works, works.

I figured, but a random tile in the middle of carpet looks weird
