...run down, tired, easily frustrated, and pretty much all around crappy. WHat should I do to feel better?
Seriously, just get some sleep. It all sounds like you're just lacking some hours D: People who are tired are irritable and all that. Go cuddle down and get some sleep 8D
Sleeping is helpful. Or take some time away from everything and just do nothing. Relax. That helps me when I feel exhausted like that.
The season is changing to colder weather depending on where you are so that might be a factor. Also school work is probably building up and all that. You seem to need some stress relievers. Here's a few ideas for you to try. 1. Try some meditation at times when things are quiet. If you can sit in your room, using a pillow to sit on and sit crosslegged on the floor, close your eyes half way and darken the room. Count to 10 and back to 1. Basically when you breathe in, do it slowly. On the exhale, think 'oooooooooooone' all the way to the end of the out-breath. Then count to two, etc up to 10. Go back to 1 after reaching 10. Try to clear your mind just focusing on the numbers and breathing and it may reduce quite a bit of stress. Start doing it for say 5 minutes or 10 minutes, setting an alarm clock, and increase it every couple days to where you can go a half hour. It works really well for me because my brain is always flooded otherwise. 2. Try to do some exercise. Stretch, do some jumping jacks or things that are cardiovascular to get your heart pumping and your blood moving. Do 10 to 20 minute workout intervals if you can when you notice you start feeling bad. The exercise will give you some adrenaline and help you feel better naturally. Do light stretches if you can if there's nothing else you can do. When seated at your computer, you can even do some movements of stretching to help you out. 3. Take a multi-vitamin of some kind each morning or night. Anything from Flintstones, Centrum or something like that would be good. Also, if you can get some whey protein drinks or something in your diet like that it might help you feel better. Diet is a big part of feeling better so make sure you eat some vegetables and meats and reduce carbs if you can. For snacks, try fruits with dips instead of chips. That sort of thing. 4. Try some stress reliever sorts of things such as listening and singing to some music, drawing, doing some kind of relaxing artistic thing or hobby. Maybe try putting some model together or something like that or get a plant to take care of. 5. Make sure you are getting 8 hours of sleep. Don't oversleep or under-sleep if you can help it, even on those weekends. If you get tired during the day and can fight off taking naps, do. It will help force your body to sleep when you need to. Lower caffeine intake daily as well, choosing some other things to drink such as tea, juices, water and milk. Try to if you are going to drink caffeine, don't drink it at school. Drink it at home say after school or around dinner time. That way you have a set time for it. Also, don't eat a lot of sugary foods. Some is fine, but too much will burn you out. 6. Check the lighting in your room and such. If it is too dark around and that is making you glum, you might want to ask for more lighting around the house due to the time of year it is now with daylight savings time having changed things as well as the hours in the day may be shorter. Hope that helps you out. We all get moody and feel bleah now and then, especially as weather changes or we just get more stuff stacked on us. We unfortunately have to work to get out of the mood. Good luck!
