    If you don't need anime...

Read Hoshi no Samidare. Fucking now. If that doesn't make you at least well up...

/in after our posts were neutered.

Iron Giant has real tear-jerking scenes. One of my favorite animated movies ever.

(Also I have my suggestion for something happy in the MSN conversation but Clannad is for the alternative with tear jerking parts.)

    Not anime, but here goes:

Band of Brothers. The first episode isn't really sad at all iirc, but it gets bleaker from episode 2 on wards. I don't think I actually cried until ep 6, though, but holy mother of god, episodes 7 and 9 turn me into a waterfall. If you get through all of it, watch the follow up series, The Pacific. Even more depressing Dx

Battlestar Galactica. Again, not too many episodes that made me cry (I don't think I cried till halfway through season 2), but it's just really bleak and sad and most of the time everyone is at the brink of despair. Plus it's just a really fantastic television series.

So many laughs and cries, man. So many.

Oh crap I forgot about the pacific. I watched that in school in my "History in Film" class. Great series. I actually went and bought the box set afterwards. Definitely cosign that recommendation.

The style just wouldn't carry over on the last one. Do you think it would?

If it wasn't obvious before, you should watch CLANNAD before everything else.

    Grave of the Fireflies.

I still don't get what was wrong with my post. But meh. I could care less, but I still don't care enough to actually go to the trouble of finding out.

Okay, most people couldn't it all pull it off at all. But I do believe if the greatest team of this century or any other tried, they could do it. I generally speak as if that ideal team were working on it with all my what if scenarios.

Reload a few more times. If you watch Doctor Who, you'll get it.
