Kingdom Hearts I don't know if anyone else noticed this but....

Wow, I never knew that about Monstro. I thought you needed to complete Monstro to get Atlantica, and Atlantica is required for Hollow Bastion.

The Deep Jungle one is pretty cool imo, if you do that you see a rare scene with Snow White.

 

You are required to to visit Monstro but not neccessarily beat him.

Speaking of Monstro, not really an alternate "scene" but you can place Monstro next to Atlantica or Holloween Town. I always prefer Atlantica though, next to Holloween Town the map starts looking cluttered over there.

 

Instead of naming the raft "Highwind", you end up naming it whatever you put when he asked you what you would name it if you won :] Like, "excalibur" or something. Then Riku says "It's just a name, calm down" or something, and Sora pouts. Incidentally, however the race turns out, the name that won ends up being the name for the Gummi Ship :] pretty cool, imo

I kept losing to him and when I finally beat him and saw the alternate cutscene I was like well that's something new.

 

Yeah, I knew this. I prefer this cutscene that Sora loses. The same thing with Leon.
I also saw a video that in KH2 You can lose to Seifer too, and get an alternate cutscene. I never knew that, because he is easy. xD

 

I tried to lose but to me it was harder to lose than to win.

 

Yep - They've added a couple actually. Also I believe there is a alt. cutscene if you lose to Vivi in KH2. (if someone hasn't mentioned this already). The games pretty easy so I mostly just saw them on the internet.

 

How many alt. cutscenes are there? I never knew about most of them.

 

Not sure, but my guess is around 5-6 in KH1, kh2 and COM. But I mostly remember from kh2, between the fights with Vivi or Seifer. Because when I first fought them It was on Proud mode, which for me was a challenge at the time XD

Do you know why they keep taking scenes out? I would think it would be a better game with the other scenes in it too.

Also is there any major difference in the Final Mixes as far as storyline goes? Or is it just extra boss battles?

There are some new cutscenes, though none that are really too notable, aside from maybe the one in KHII FM+ where Xemnas talks to Aqua's armor. The Secret Endings are pretty cool though.

What games have final mixes. I know kh1 2 and birth by sleep does. I think one of the COMs do.

 

KH1, KH2, and BBS do, you're right.
Chain of Memories does not technically have one. Re:Chain of Memories, the remake for the PS2, was released with KHII FM+, and I guess you could consider it a Final Mix of sorts, but it's not an official one.
Coded was released originally on the cellphone for just the Japanese, but they're sending it everywhere on the DS--that's what Re:Coded is.

 

So that's what Re:Coded is. I preordered it today, but I thought kh for the phone and Coded were two different things.
