I don't care HOW much you hate or love DmC

But the actual point is that this specific game calls itself "Devil May Cry", a name that belongs to a series of face-paced action and tough-as-nails boss battles, and it's valid to bring up that this reboot fails to live up to this expectation, in both pace and difficulty.

And honestly, it seems neither the people hating the game nor the ones who love it are going to convince the other party towards his/her own opinion.

And that means all they have to do with rename some characters here and there, change up a few designs and models, then re-release it as a totally new IP.

I was making a joke (this is the spam zone after all). But if I was to put a meaning behind me posting that video. It would be that the original games also had their own flaws. Oh the DMC series has many many flaws. It hasn't exactly had the best track record.

But from the difficulty aspect I can see why people are upset about it. There are people who play the games because of it's difficulty. So having DmC being so much easier is going to be a disappointment to those people. Also the easily telegraphed boss battles don't help.

However, I personally loved the game. I've been a fan of the DMC series for years and I may actually prefer this newer game. Except for the combat (though the combat in DmC is good) everything about DmC is better than the previous games. It's just an overall better experience in my opinion.

Other than it being generally easier I really enjoyed the combat, the quick switch between angelic, normal and demonic weapons made the combat really flow nicely for me.

Agreed, the flow of the combat was great. The ease of switching between all the weapons mid-combo was a plus.

Yeah, my only real gripe with combat was that there was no manual lock on, and I personally felt the dodge button was a bit more sluggish compared to other DMC games, so I'd take hits I think I could avoid.

They love their parry system though.

I just think it's really funny how they made a crappy God of War clone when God of War is already a crappy Devil May Cry clone.

So am I the only one that finds that attack animations are a bit too long, and I'm getting left open for attacks?

If you're going to use it in a joking manner then go ahead
If you're going to use it as a means to substitute and actual rebbutal then go ahead
You also still haven't answered my question as to what you constitute a real flaw in a game.
    Such as?
God of War and Devil May Cry 3 are RADICALLY different games.

That's what I've been saying all this time. Don't call it "Devil May Cry" and don't try so hard to re-make an already beloved character to try making him "cool" and don't change the gameplay so that it looks like Heavenly Sword with some light Devil May Cry sprinkling. Leave DMC to DMC, and make this new game it's own separate series, so both parties could be happy.

And then in ten years the people who bought that new game when it was still being called Devil May Cry will be millionaires.

Unresposive gameplay, unbalanced difficulty over time, continual glitches that hamper or stop the experience, bad character design, bland and minimal level designs/environments, terrible AI of allies an enemies.

Every game has unique flaws, Mass Effect 3 for example lacked exploartion which the first game had tons of. A flaw in my view, even if it can be reasoned why it wasn't there.
Or in Assassin's Creed 3 where the amount of glitches caused so many problems and tuined the experience.

Loads of games have flaws but shouldn't ruin a whole game. Depends on the player.

Like you said, it depends on the player.
DmC's difficulty is a flaw. For someone who doesn't play games for difficulty purposes this is not a major flaw
For someone like me who does then yes it is
You can love a game despite it's flaws but you're not obliged to.
If exploration is the MINIMUM you expect from a Final Fantasy game and Final Fantasy XIII doesn't give you that then that's that, Final Fantasy XIII has been ruined for you and you have every right to feel that way because the game failed to meet the bare minimum of what you expected out of Final Fantasy game.
    DmC is an action game.
It failed to meet the mimimum for a good action game due to several flaws.
Thus the game is ruined for me
You can have the most beautiful documentary ever with the greatest actors and the crispest sound but if the actually documenting part isn't there then it's a bad documentary and you have every right to not want to watch it.

What is up with those graphics? It's so ugly and realistic. Original DMC graphics were much better, and that's saying something coming from a person who doesn't care about graphics.
