I didn't think iTunes could get any worse.

How it proved me wrong. >:

Apple really should design something that works with their products.

Not just the latest update but for a while iTunes and iOS 7 seem like they don't want to talk to each other. Its been like that since I updated to iOS 7. First it deleted all my playlists, then it refused to synch. And every time I find a way to get it to synch the next time I try it it doesn't work. It really has put me off future Apple products, which is a shame cause I really like my ipod touch.

I dislike iTunes a lot sometimes but not only have I been unable to find another music player with a decent UI, I have an iphone. :v if I really liked a player I wouldn't mind using iTunes just to sync but none of the players I've tried have tempted me.

I experienced this shit too, what with the not syncing charade. Went to put some new songs on my pod so I could go out for a run then sat there for literally 2 hours trying to get it to sync. To this day I still have no idea what the hell I did to get it to work.

If anyone finds a better alternative to iTunes, hmu babe xo

it seems like anytime i try to put more than like..one album on my iphone at a time, it just stops mid-sync and ends up cancelling it. how can Apple be so rich and popular but not have competent programmers.

I'm very thankful to have exclusively been using Spotify for like a year.

That's the only reason I use it - for my ipod. I used to have a Sony MP3 player which was fangtastic, so easy to manage your library. iTunes is just so picky when it comes to managing albums. Then there's the issue of it not wanting to put music on your ipod. :|

A walkman was my first mp3 player...everything was so simple with it. ;__; I am thinking about getting a different mp3 player some point this year. Maybe a Walkman, but I might look at other makes.

tbh my dislike of iTunes is part of (not all) the reason I'll probably give Android a try for my next phone, but that won't be for another couple years heh. My iPhone works fine, no reason to replace it. I would like to use SD cards tho.

Man, I had one of those...kinda.

It served me well during those first year science classes.

Its surprising Apple hasn't implemented a SD card slot into their products yet. But I suppose they would charge an extra £50 for that.

The primary reason they wouldn't is because, this way, they can charge extra for a simple storage upgrade. If there was an SD card slot, they'd only be able to sell a base model and then people could add as much memory as they need to the phone. Not only that, but I think one of the major reasons (besides just wanting the newest thing) people upgrade to the newer iPhones is because they need/want more storage.

Further, Apple doesn't play nice with others. If they allowed storage cards they'd probably go the Sony route and make their own.

I haven't really used itunes that much since it asked me for my credit information to listen to the radio. The otherwise free radio has to be accessed through the iTunes store now.

    Nope.

Oh I know Apple, and even Google, employ this method but I'm surprised they haven't put it in one of the more expensive models since it such an in demand feature. It's one of the reasons I wouldn't buy an iPad or Nexus (Besides the ridiculous prices). Maybe not so much in an iPhone since you can get 64GB memory, but even then, I have a 64GB ipod touch and I've awready used up over 40GBs on it. I suppose from a business point of view it makes sense for Apple and Google to restrict memory on their devices but it doesn't from a consumers view. At least me anyway lol.

It looks like Google is taking that stance with their Google Glass. The price for accessories is horribly overprice from what I last saw.

The problem here is that you're expecting Apple to make decisions to benefit the consumer, lol. Apple had the smartphone market pretty much cornered for a while because they were the first ones to really hit it properly. Because of that popularity, they could make any decision they wanted, even if it wasn't good for the consumer. Therefore, they'll do whatever makes them more money.

Android phones are now rising in popularity because they are more consumer friendly in many respects (SD card usage being one of them). Apple should be afraid and should be making changes to their products to better compete with Android... but they won't. They'll continue cruising on their status symbol and style benefits (though those are quickly fading).

Especially since their phones haven't radically changed over the years while Android devices are offering a similar experience at the fraction of the price. They'll only be able to ride this train for so long before they'll be forced to make some changes to bring back the customers. And its gonna be harder for them to regain what they've lost.

    This.

Also the fact that my 2 year old Droid Razr Maxx still has almost double the fully charged battery life than the "best" iPhone (which Apple's been releasing and improving for, what, 6 years?)
