Okay so I seem to have this peculiar problem...I've used my Codebreaker and my Action Replay Max for a long time now. But now they've started corrupting the data on all of my memory cards every time I save...I've been using them for years but they've never done this to me...I even bought a new Codebreaker just recently but yet my problem is still the same...Does anyone know what's wrong? Is it my PS2 perhaps? I did buy a new one recently to replace my old one is that it? But it still saves just fine as long as I don't use my Code Devices...

    Somebody please help me...

To me it seems quite obvious that the Memory Card got fried up.

You are saying it yourself, that you've bought another CB and Replaced your PS2, only thing left to check is the Mem Card...

Buy another mem card and tell us how it goes, since IIRC there's no way to format a Memory Card.
They should be pretty cheap these days.

EDIT: Delete all the code data.
    And put it back in.
Some code may be messing up with the actual addresses of the Memory Card, thus making it corrupt.

Is there a code you've saved in recently? if so then delete all recent codes. and see how it goes...

But I've tried more than one memory card...And I deleted the Code Breaker Data on my memory card too...This is just crazy...I don't understand what the problem could be...

Strangely though I never had this problem with my old PS2 so I'm wondering if maybe it's my new PS2 that's the problem...

    Try another memory card port?
Something is seriously messed up here.

Do you still have the other PS2?
If so, then test it there.

Have you tried getting a can of air and spraying it?
It may not be saving correctly because it's dirty or because it got too hot.
Other than that I have no idea.

I know this probably isn't the problem but there are tons of codes that you should not save with. It can and will mess up your save file(s).

I tried it with my old PS2. Everything seems okay now. Thanks guys.

I think the problem is the new PS2s are cheat-protected now...It's probably a new safety precaution Sony thought of ever since that big hack on their system and since they caught on to the fact that their consoles were being hacked. With the new PS2 I would always get a message saying that the data is corrupt or "Load Failed". I believe this is basically Sony's way of saying "Screw you cheater".

Is it corrupting all of your saves or just your saves for A.R.M. and C.B.?

All of my game saves for the games that I use codes with.

That's actually not how that works at all.

    Not at ALL.

Are there even NEW PS2s now!? .________.
And the ''hacking protection'' only applies to PS3 and PSPs... Which doesn't make sense at all.
Anyway, I'm glad your problem was solved man!

Well. even if you save with some and your codebreaker/armax file goes wrong. You can still delete that file and restart. but doing this means you'll have to reinsert the codes you had to inserted yourself.

now. try a different memory card. and if that doesn't work with the second memory card doesn't work , it might be your PS2. which i doubt. I'm betting you mostly need a new memory card.

Jaden just said that everything works correctly with his old PS2.
And the problem only happens with his Newer PS2.

Which makes ABSOLUTELY No sense, what-so-ever.

Why would the PS2 corrupt your saves ONLY if you use codes? o.O

Yep. And that's the gospel truth too. Everything you just said. That's what my problem is.

Like I said, I do have theory on this which I think could be the only possible explanation:

I think the problem is the newer PS2s are cheat-protected now. It's probably a new safety precaution Sony thought of ever since they caught on to the fact that their consoles like the PS3 and PSP were being hacked. With the new PS2 I would always get a message saying that the data is corrupt or "Load Failed". I believe this is probably basically become Sony's way of saying "Screw you cheater".

But, that still wouldn't make sense since PS2's stopped being made by 2009-ish. (IIRC)
And the PS3's protection wasn't hacked until 2011...

    Maybe it's shenanigans? o.O

You sure it's NEW and not refurbished?
I should look for that on wikipedia. It wouldn't make sense that PS2's are in production now.
I mean, no games are coming out anymore.

I'm positive. I got it in an unopened box and everything. I got it fresh out of Walmart.

The whole reason why I stopped using my old PS2 was because it wasn't playing my DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 game right anymore. But that apparently was just my game and not my PS2. But yet buying a new PS2 turned out to be a huge mistake...This one corrupts my data every time I use my Codebreaker or my ARMAX...But after re-hooking my old PS2 I didn't have this problem at all...

    /MAYOR FACEDESK.

You bought a NEW PS2 just because ONE game wasn't working? Man the first thing you try is testing SEVERAL games before doing that, or buying/burning the game again.

It still astonishes me that they actually fabricate brand new PS2's as of this late...

Though, we all make some derpy mistakes now and then..

Well that and my old PS2 was slightly damaged because it once fell off my TV and hit the floor...So I just assumed that that was the problem...
