I mean sure, but you are basically saying you would rather it be a murder case or something of that calibre. Which...you know...requires death. But hey fk it man cant have you do something "boring".

There is another option, though I wouldn't recommend it. I kept on the right side of the law until I was 18 when I purposely let myself get caught stealing. The police was called and I confessed to the theft. They said since it was my first time they let me off but it was put on my record thus meaning I will never get called for jury duty.

I have to wonder about a few things if someone decides to purposefully steals just to get out of jury duty. The most I've stolen is my handheld systems back from my parents when I wanted to play them and my parents took them away. Maybe a piece of a cookie, if we count that

I honestly like to be left alone, I have my own peaceful paradise in my own home. I hate leaving my house or at least I did back then and the idea of having to go to a court room to judge someone else seemed like too much of a hassle so I did that to remove the possibility entirely.

Stealing is never the answer. It would have been better to find a legal way to do it.

I got summoned for Jury Duty once. I didn't have a job or school so there was nothing to get me excused, so I went and sat in the room and waited, and they were just selecting the panel for my trip. It didn't take as long as it did for Misty, because I lived in a pretty small community, so there wasn't a whole lot going on. However, EVERYONE got excused and the case, (which was some kinda potential homicide, I think, but they didn't talk much about it beforehand at all) was moved to another jurisdiction because in a town as small as mine, I was the only person who didn't already know the story or the family and have an opinion on what happened. XD

So... Hope that your case gets moved out of your jursidiction? Besides, idk about other counties, but I only got fifteen bucks out of it.
