Only to find out that the day I was going to spend working and catching up on the rest of my school for Tuesday is going to be spent waiting for an alignment on the Prius...well, at least I still have that book to read. Doesn't mean I want to wait an hour to an hour and a half either way. Plus I still have to get some more shorts, shoes, and a haircut.......
Is there ever going to be a payday where I don't lose all my money at once?

    Home haircut!

Just be glad that (assuming you get paid every two weeks) May is triple pay month. That means I have a paycheck for my rent, a pay check for my bills and a pay check for me~!

Oh that makes me feel much better. Still have to wait those 2 weeks between payments, which can sometimes feel like a lifetime, but at least I know I get extra this month. And the home haircut doesn't work anymore, since I don't like buzzcuts, and that's usually what my dad does.

Not for me. Mine are usually like June and December.

No kidding. I just balanced this paycheck, and out of 300 dollars, only 100 of that is going to my miscellaneous, which I use for anything really, and the shorts and shoes themselves are going to cost as least 60 bucks. I'm never going to get back up to 600 dollars

My paychecks are usually between $500 - $600 and I never have anything left by the end of the week. Rent, food, phone, outstanding bills, cab fare, etc etc. I'm lucky if I get to buy something like pants [[ and it's always at the thrift store because can't afford new clothes ]]. I haven't had my hair cut professionally in two years because I just can't spare the $17 to get it done.

That's nearly 2-3X as much as I'm making. But I also only save up a little for gas every time (I've never hit pass 100 just because I don't fill it that often), and save for school, car, and monthly payments for netflix and savings every paycheck. I'm just glad my parents don't have me pay for rent. People always try to move out of their parents right away, but they don't realize how much they can save if they stay.
And why are you paying a cab fair?

Because my car was wrecked in January so I don't have a vehicle. I live 8 miles from work and the closest bus stop is 3.5 miles away. Most of the people that originally gave me rides to / from work have pretty much stopped completely [ don't respond / have excuses ], so my only option is to take a cab to work.

I moved out when I was 17 and then moved back home when I was 19 for a year. Then moved out again last July. Not everyone has the ability to keep living at home after they graduate high school. It's expensive and it sucks, but you have to get out eventually.

I stay because I don't make enough to live anywhere, school and work are relatively in the same area, and my parents don't charge me rent, so it saves me money. I turn 20 in June and I probably don't plan on moving out for a while still because of how much I'm saving right now. Especially because I can't afford to rent or live on my own
