I Am Legend

Anyone else looking forward to this movie? It looks quite interesting.

A man-made virus wipes out the population of New York City in 2009, leaving virologist Robert Neville (Will Smith) the last human survivor in the city and possibly the world. Neville lives alone for three years, attempting to contact and find other possible survivors. He is watched by mutant victims of the plague. Neville was the indirect cause of the fall of man: his government-funded research helped spread the virus, and he now works to redeem himself. Naturally immune, Neville realizes that two percent of the human race must also be immune. However, many of them were killed by the infected, who became cannibalistic. Neville finds himself outnumbered by the infected and running out of time.

 

OMG Im waiting on that it looked awesome XD I really wanna watch it.

 

I just hope that it is as good as the book.

 

I want to see it, but I'm banned from my local theater until Feb.

 

I started reading the book and I think the movie will be very good.

 

I've read about a quarter of the book and stopped, but it seems really good. Will Smith's playing lead and I usually enjoy his movies.

 

Will Smiths acting does seem to really draw in the rest of the story for the aduience.

 

Will Smith is the only actual reason I want to see the movie.

 

The movie looks awesome. It's probably the only movie I've wanted to actually go see as soon as it came out this year.

 

8D There's a book. Omg.

I saw this commercial for it at work (8D on the big screen) and I thought it looked amazing.

I can't wait until it comes out.

 

It sounds pretty good, but I don't really like Will Smith. D:

But I might read the book. I need something for school.

 

D: I've always liked Will Smith. He was great in I-Robot and most of his other shows/movies but *shrug*. :\ That's my opinion.

I agree. I do like Will Smith's acting. And this movie just seems so...serious and it seems that the graphics and everything are worked nice on it.

 

Well, I don't know if I'll like it.

I'm not into that apocalyptic typa stuff. When the threat of something is upon us why do we practically mock it by making theoretical situations that lead to our demise.....for entertainment?

but the first time I heard of it was from my sister. The situation went a bit like this.

Sister: Are you gonna see I am Legend?
Me: What's that about?
Sister: The entire world population dies and the only man left on earth is Will Smith.
Me: *shrugs* Will Smith would be the one to survive an apocalypse.

Has anyone else here seen the Vincent Price film "The Last Man on Earth?" This is basically the same movie, except in a nice updated version. I think Smith was a good choice as a replacement character.

Is there really a book? Is it titled "I am Legend" or something else? I'd like to read it.

 

I have been dying to see this movie. Can you believe some kid in my class said the movie was about vampires?

This movie really does look good and I can't wait to see it. Lately, they've had a surprising good string of movies coming out. I'm surprised because I'm so used to a bunch of bleah movies in the winter time, especially. The plot sounds great, Will Smith is usually awesome and it looks cool. I have to look up when it gets here.

 

In a way... it kinda reminds me of resident evil, seems like a good movie ^^ Thought I like Will Smith in I-Robot, so I hope it's good
