how many of you watch Arrow i'm going to assume none in which case you are not living your life to the fullest seriously. season 2. oh my god. season 2. season 1 was almost just as thrilling for me but man, season 2. it's just over halfway done and it's already made so much progress. seriously it's one of the best things on right now. watching episode 15 and... its just too awesome. seriously if youre not watching it shame on you
It's on the CW (Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, etc.) and S1 is up on Netflix. And let me tell you, John Barrowman is in it and he is just spectacular. I started catching up after S2 had already started and I don't want to get into it until I can find the whole second season, so I'll probably wait until it's done.
It's alright. Some episodes are pretty boring. Some times, feels a bit like The OC with super heroes and villains. But it's alright as a whole.
I have had many thoughts of watching this but the only things I know about it are that John Barrowman and Alex Kingston are in it. I feel that is reason enough >:3
he's amazing. she's terrible. thank goodness she's a minor character who's been in at most like five episodes.
I' ve watched the first season. It' s much grittier than Smallvile but not as much as the Dark Knight, the cheese is still there. Well shot, good stories here and there, I' d keep watching it if I could. The only thing that ticked me off is the whole woosh thing. He does that all the time and somehow manages to pull it off in wide open areas, it' s ridiculous.
I watched up to... episode 5 or 6 of the first season I think. Then I moved and got busy and forgot about the whole show. Maybe I should pick it up again. The first five or six episodes were pretty good.
That's kind of a weird question to answer because... idk i just like it. I like the characters, I like the scope, I like the way the show has been progressing since the beginning and season 2 takes the show leaps and bounds farther than what you would expect even from the season 1 finale. There's not much I don't like except for a few things here and there, as well as what they have done with one of the main characters in season 2 but shhh. It's just a good show. It's also one of the most unpredictable shows I've seen on television given what it is. With this show it's like every other episode my jaw has dropped by the end. It's kinda hard to talk about without spoiling much but if you watch to the end of season 1 (which is good in itself i am by no means saying you have to wait till the end of the season for it to be good) you'll really understand just how far they are willing to go. I'm not really a fan of Green Arrow in the comics, I honestly know nothing about him outside of this show, but he's amazing here. It kinda redefines what a superhero/comic television show can be. People were expecting big things from Shield and it completely flopped on that, but this show has been defying all expectations from the beginning. Season 1 had some rough patches with the writing, they didn't know if the show would have legs so they needed to have stuff to fall back on in case it never went past one season and so they put some stuff in that was just dropped by the end and hasn't been talked about since, but with season 2 they've found their footing and it improves on everything that was good with season 1 and does better with some of the mistakes it made. tl;dr its effin awesome dont question me
This isn't really a criticism of the show in general, but I did see like, the first episode since a friend put it on. It seemed JUST LIKE Batman Begins. Like, note for note. Anyone who's seen that film could attest to this.
okay yes there are a lot of similarities between the two, even to the point of borrowing lines and actors from tdk (the asian guy). but the thing is, it's more homage than ripoff. the show is a mine field of comic/dc property references and that's just one of them. as the show goes on it becomes less noticeable to the point of it not even being a factor midway through season 2. but see, batman begins was kinda groundbreaking in the way it handled a "grounded" take on a superhero origin on screen, so it's not a surprise that things are going to be influenced by it, especially when the thing borrowing from it is another rich superhero without superpowers. there are already enough similarities between the two characters to raise an eyebrow. it's handled really well. it's clearly influenced but it has its own ideas to give it an identity of its own, and eventually grows out of that altogether.
