There's actually basically no science in Doctor Who most of the time. It's actually a fantasy series. Space fantasy, but still fantasy.

 

Classic Who, which uses much more accurate science, would like to have a word with you.

Worded better, it's fantasy in the way that Star Wars is fantasy.

 

You're actually opening this up to a lot more misunderstandings by bringing in a well known and nonequivalent franchise.

See I wouldn't know because I don't watch it, I've just heard many people call it a science fiction show, so I assumed that's what it was.

While it's true that most of the science in NewWho is crap, I feel like they've kept up the historical aspect of the show pretty well. (Eg; Period accurate costumes, customs, basic historical facts when said facts aren't messed with with the fiction-y bits.)
You know, when they actually do go to the past.
Which it seems like is happening less and less.

Episode three is either a meh filler or the beginning of a decent two-parter.

Whichever it is, you'll be waiting for a good episode until you hit "Dalek" AND THEN SUDDENLY IT IS GLORIOUS AGAIN

Really, things do get better, but you've gotta keep on through the filler.
As soon as Captain Jack Harkness comes out (The Empty Child is his first appearance) you will regret nothing. NOTHING.

 

The Unquiet Dead was fine, I have no idea why you're shitting on it so hard. Jack is overrated.

 

idk, Unquiet Dead might've just been made worse by Rose's constant "whine whine 'Why Doctor?' whine"
