I just finished Nisemonogatari recently (comments aside), and I'm wondering something: should I finish Hyouka (I stopped watching after like episode 6), or start on some other anime? Preferably something with good animation and action and story if that choice.

    Watch something that isn't ****.
The fact that you watched Talkingmonogatari for purposes other then fapping is a problem.
You want good animation and action?

Thanks, I totally added the "comments aside" thing for nothing

Watched some Casshern. Pretty cool so far. Might start it from the beginning sometime.
And I've been meaning to get to Redline...

Also, you seemed to have linked the same thing 5 times?

Hyouka is nice, it is pretty and a tribute to mystery fiction, so if you are a fan of mystery fiction (e.g. Holmes and Agatha Christie) in general then I definitely recommend it. Some of the mysteries in some episodes fall a bit short but otherwise it is fine.

The three alternatives to Hyouka I can recommend right now as the only ones I am watching this season include Eureka Seven AO which is the sequel to Psalms of Planets, Sword Art Online which is basically .hack meets the Matrix but seems to be quite well done in its anime interpretation, and Kokoro Connect which is ... something. AO is a bit hit-or-miss. Kokoro Connect and SAO are apparently fairly nice though, the former if you want something light-hearted (except episode five).

If you wish for off-season things then there is a huge list and you probably have much lovelier luck scouring through those enormous collections of /a/ recommendation images that Jube posted earlier.

I recommend trying out Hyouka though. At least to make your own opinion on it, like with many fictional works in general.

But if you really wish to stay patient,

This, because from what I have seen the upcoming fall season seems to have one of the best line-ups I have seen in a while!

EDIT: Also go watch REDLINE. Please. It is like some sort of visual hallucinogenic stimulant.

Watched it twice once in Japanese and once in English.
It's a pretty bad show and absolutley butchers the manga.
But watching the English dub with /co/ and /v/ every Saturday on Toonami was the ****ing bomb because of how utterly over the top it was

Also I hope you were watching it in 1080p
