Shit. It's going shit. Today is day one of the worst three years of my life.

 

Hating everything only slightly less than normal today. Just waiting for someone to piss me off.

I think you're missing the point, lol. While libre would be the adult and is taking her to the event, it's an event about a children's video game and will likely have lots of things tailored for children, like taking pictures with the mascots and that kind of stuff. While libre will certainly do this so i can live vicariously through him, his sister will probably have more say in what kid's stuff they'll do. Since she's (presumably) a kid.

I honestly don't remember that, I apologize, lol. Also, I love Disgaea. I have Disgaea: D2 limited edition on preorder :D

 

I'm on Ultros right now, that's where we're hoping to get the KHV FC going. That is, if Claw & I ever find the time to do the Satasha quest.... lol

Mainly just spending my time leveling my DoH classes before I take on ~my first dungeon~. Pretty obsessed with weaving (which means I also had to start botany because cotton is fing expensive), so if ya need clothes made, hmu~

 

Sounds great, I'll be sure to do that tomorrow. I'll make a character and all. I don't know if I like the DoH/DoL classes too much. I tried Culinarian, cuz you know me and cooking. I got to level 7 before I just wanted to throw my controller through my TV. the interface is so....cluttery

No I agree, I do think the PS3 controls are pretty good but for some things it becomes really obvious that the game was built for PC. My time would probably be better spent leveling my Archer or starting Conjuror ( as it's my eventual goal to be a Bard ), but I find farming for cotton really relaxing ha.

 

What's funny is Yoshida and his team develop and test everything using controllers, not keyboard/mouse. I won't get into which is superior, because I feel both have their advantages, but yeah. The fact that we can't (OR at least, I haven't found a way to) craft all 12 of an item back to back to back, that it takes you back to the craft log after each INDIVIDUAL crafting, just makes it so slow and unintuitive. I've been playing since the very start of phase 3 and it's always been a large complaint of mine

 

Yeah, it definitely could be optimized, but my perception of MMOs has always been that they're a bit clunky & menu heavy (despite FFXIV really being my first one heh). My biggest complaint with the controller was that it was ridiculously hard to target things during FATEs (because you'd end up scrolling through all the other players before getting to the enemies), but I changed my settings to only target enemies when my weapon is sheathed so now the controls seem like a dream by contrast ha.

I am a bit upset that the keypad snap-on I bought for my controller doesn't work properly in game, though. It types everything correctly except a forward slash... which makes it effectively useless for chatting.

 

That's really weird, I have a usb keyboard hooked up to my ps3, and it forward slashes with no problem for /fc, /party, etc. Do you play on PC or ps3?

 

PS3. I was using a USB keyboard for a while, but it was a pain to switch between it and my controller, so I bought this sucker:



Forward slash works fine in everything but the game, so it's gotta be something on FFXIV's end. I put in a bug report figuring it was an official Sony product so they might do something about it, but I don't have high hopes. Just a bit bummed.

 

Yeah, those always seemed uncomfortable to me, kinda like the old cell phones that had the full keyboard lol. Could never get behind those comfortably. Feel free to add me if you want, my psn is Xetjsin
