I can't see Bush being remembered at all really. There aren't many American presidents I know, but even in a few years time I'll be asking "George who?"
After the war ends and we get out of this crisis... I can't see anyone talkig about him anymore

War mongerer? Do you have no respect for your countrymen? They all died in 9/11. We did this War because a terrorist group attacked us on our own soil. Bush is not a War mongerer, he's just not a coward.

History has no opinion. It is the present views that will be passed on to younger generations and whatever's put in our history books that will truly show us the answer to this question.

Not to get off topic, but can you please connect Saddam/Iraq to al-Qaeda? (And they really weren't as powerful in Iraq as Bush wanted us to believe).

I mean, I understand Afghanistan, because we knew that al-Qaeda had a strong presence there, and I wish we'd invade Pakistan (at least part of it), but Iraq? He just wanted a war like his daddy had.

It's hard to say how he'll be remembered. I'm sure he's done some good things, but he'll largely be remembered for the bad things that happened. I'm not necessarily saying that they're his fault, but they happened while he was in office, and that's what people will remember.

As for the economic crisis... *sighs* Long story, so I don't really feel like telling it. If anyone wants to hear it, let me know. I think it'd be better in a new thread though, cause it doesn't really relate to this.

That was Bush's mistake. If he would've had a better plan for this whole thing...maybe everyone wouldn't insult him so much.

Bush might be remembered as the guy who didn't plan things out, got made fun of, and became a Youtube star! Seriously...

They wouldnt view him as a good president. Although this recession isnt completely his blame, he screwed up a lot of other things. McCain or Obama, either one of them would have been better than Bush.

he will be viewed like bill clinton was at first... everyone hated him because he made a bad mistake, but now hes a good person becuase people got over the bad things that he did and viewed the nice charitable organizations that he has contributed to. Soon people will view Bush as a better person... i hope. :)

The majority will never view him as a good president (and I don't think Clinton is viewed as a good president at the moment), only as a very controversial one. That's the best reception he'll get.

well people view Clinton as a good President because of the fact that people viewed George W. Bush as a bad President.

Really? I would've thought that with the whole b-j thing he'd be less respected, but am I wrong?

it seems like that little controversy isn't really mentioned that much anymore but a lot of people say they miss Clinton ever since Bush went into Office.

Clinton was viewed badly because he didnt deal with anything. He could've prevented 9/11. But he was in that scandle, and Bush is bad because he knew all about it and didnt do anything to stop it either. They were both in on it. They are both very unqualified for being President, which prooves America is F'ed up because if our votes really count for anything we put two dumb F's up there.
