Yes, well CFF, God creating the universe is just as stupid as the big bang theory. And the "black book" was written by men, as was the big bang theory.

I believe God created the world. I don't believe that the earth could have just appeared from the Big Bang theory because I don't believe in chance (especially in the fact that the earth just happened to appear in the perfect position for it to cradle life). And that's all the Big Bang theory is, a theory. Theories come from someone's hypothesis and evidence they find on it. There's two things wrong with that: 1) sometimes people are bias when supporting their hypotheses and usually exclude other possibilties and 2) scientific evidence always has that questionable factor-even carbon dating is only concrete if the assumption that carbon levels of the earth's atmosphere haven't changed much since its creation. So, I'm for what the Bible says.

Personally I think it was all a creation of God, you would have to read the bible to understand. I don't beleive in all of the Athiest stuff and the Big Bang...

i totally agree with Xigbar and Rena88
seriously, how could something just blow up and everything was there? how was the thing that blew up there? how could it have created everything in just the right way that we wouldn't die?
also, i don't usually put science first though. i understand the stuff, but... it's just that i don't really think everything's all technical like that...

OK, here's what happened, either God created Earth with his own two hands, which I'm leaning towards, or (wait for it...)
God used his power to create one of the theories of modern science. For example, if the Big Bang IS true, God willed for it to happen and that is my opinion. I am not saying that anyone else's opinion is incorrect. I am merely stating my own.

Guys, intelligent design and god is just as much a theory as the big bang, and one even more farfetched.

"How could something just explode and everything was there? What made the explosion?", yeah, well what made god?

And you guys obviously don't understand the chances of Earth being the way it is. In our galazy there is almost 100000 stars, and in our 1 galaxy alone, there is more them a million planets,. In this one galazy, there is a 10 ina 100000 chance that there is another solar system with life. The universe is litterally infinate, and that leaves an infinate number of different times that something like Earth could happen. We were lucky, and if you people refuse to face facts and want to look at something that has NO EVIDENCE OF EVEN EXISTING, that's fine with me.

How could some divine being be created from something that isn't even there?
I don't understand religon very much....
When you strip everything away.... it's just telling you how to be a good person and lead a good life.
I don't really know how the big bang actually started.....
Do you know how god was created?
    Same diff.

I guess it just comes down to what you believe(or want to believe in some cases). I will never be convinced contrary to God creating the world the same as others not changing their belief in some other form of creation. And the whole "how was God created?" I believe He wasn't created, He just was and is. The Alpha and Omega(beginning and end). We can't possibly come to comprehend His will and we always look for something physical(or logical) to us to explain what we don't understand.

Well, wether it's bashing or just talking, we need to find the answers someway. This has been a heated discussion since the dawn of time, we might as well leave it at that...

Ill tell you this right now: As long as you live on this Earth, you cannot fully explain life or the creation of the Earth. I dont care what you believe in, it is what it is. And someday, we'll be the ones to destroy it.

How was everything there to begin with if there is no God? how did all the things that needed to be in place for this miracle to happen all of a suddden appear and then Be put together ON IT'S OWN so that it would create a haven, and a life source for one of the only living things out there (That we now of) think about this...

Rock or w/e you say started everything: i think i'll start this thing called LIFE.

Yea last time I checked FLoating matter couldn't think....Niether could a germ or a pool of Genes or w/e.

someone had to put it all in place, and give it guidence.

    Just thinking out loud...

Well why don't you explain to me why they call it the 'big bang THEORY' then?

The reason they call it that is because they used common understanding of stars and other events that happen every day in our galaxy/star-system, and many others.

And besides, this kind of stuff has happened before, so it's three-hundred times more likely than God making it.

This is even a proven fact, where religious belief's lie in mystery to science, for science doesn't understand its concepts. You know why? Because they are beliefs set in faith.

And Christians who want to belief God made it is fine. But it's merely placed in their faith. And I don't have that kind of faith, and I follow how it actually WOULD happen, and how it IS possible.

So there... I hope that clarified. >.>

Bull. Sorry to say. I'm Christian and I believe this. God created earth and us along with it. I am not saying IT HAS TO BE THIS WAY! I'm saying this is what I believe...Also...this is one thing scientists can't get their heads around, a God ACTUALLY being there, and is hard to admit. Disagree with me all you want but it's what I think.

Hmm...well...let's try to figure it out...

If I were to explain the big bang idea then we'd have earth crashing into a larger planet (then known as the moon), and rocks flying everywhere. Then they spun around becoming denser, soon forming a circular object known as Earth. The rest floated around, also becoming more and more dense soon becoming the moon, which then was extremely close the earth. Which generated large amounts of heat from the already volcanic and highly toxic frontier of the planet as it was. Lol.

Then, according to the theory, 3.5 (or something) million years later, life began and such. =/

Anyone want to elaborate a little with me? t.t

Darky's right guys, there is a 975349758203497 times better chance that the big bang created everything rather then God.

no one knows if god exists or not, however, we DO know what happens in the universe everyday. Stars are moving and planets are created, new universes are created every milli-second as the universe is constantly expanding. Everytihng in our physics, everything int he planet, everything in the UNIVERSE, points to the big bang. Except of the course bible, which is a BOOK, written by MAN.

Who are we, simple humans, to argue with the very fabric of the universe? I don't understand how anyone can argue with fact, even christians.

Not to mention the fact that that same book was made 1000 years AFTER it's actual stories or tellings happened.

And also, obviously, after the time in which earth was already made. So Man could not be right, IMO, especially since it was a time in which women played extremely SMALL roles in our life's. Others' belief's may differ, however I personally think that big bang may not be RIGHT, but it is the best explanation so far.

    I agree completely.

We were never really talking about that...I don't think. Lol.
