It's been maybe over a year since I've been regularly active on a forum, mainly because my old one is really really low on activity and I'm struggling to find another forum to call my home. This isn't an introduction, just an honest question on how to become more involved in this community. Because from first impression the people here seem genuine and nice and that's perfect for me.

I'll get back to you on that.
    I guess that'll help lol.

My main hobby is probably playing PS3, I do that maybe too much. I also enjoy working out until I start procrastinating, playing football with mates, That probably sums up my current life.

Why would you think we're awful? I've been so nice to you--even when you're a tad bit annoying--sometimes.

Well, we've got a Community Gameplay thread which has people's gaming tags and the like, so you'd probably be able to find some members around who'd love a round or two over PSN.

Ah, okay. Well, there are a lot of community events / projects, in addition to what Plums linked to.

The Spamzone is a nice way to get to know people...but things can get a little crazy here sometimes and people can be kind of rude at moments. It's all in good fun though, apparently... Another good way to get involved is participating in the community events. Right now an event called Castle Oblivion is going on.

I've made a surprisingly large amount of friends from trying to help people in Help With Life and from getting help.

There are also other events such as KHV Idol (singing), KHV Chorus (singing), RP Idol (writing), Signature of the Week (graphic art), Traditional Art of the Month (art), AMV Battles (AMV/video editing), The KHV Musical (Writing, singing, acting, drawing) ETC.

...There are a lot more (shout out to the Writer's Nook), but that would take forever.

If you're into writing at all, role playing, in my experience, can help with getting more involved and meeting new people. Playing games in The Playground will also help get yourself out there, and it's less brutal there than the Spamzone. You can also join a Forum Family.

Then, finally, if you have Skype, we have a massive KHV chat available. Being added there are hanging out with everyone will help A LOT. Just keep in mind that it's an off site thing so there's less moderation and sometimes things get...crazy. But we play a lot of games and stuff there. It's helped me make friends with people I never thought I'd even try to talk to. Looool.

But yeah, there's lots to do, and most events that happen or come up are posted on in Community News & Projects. We also have a Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook to keep you updated.

Thanks for the the effort you put into replying.

I actually joined the Castle Oblivion event last year and won the badge or whatever it's called here. I don't seem to have any anymore though, was there a badge reboot?

I'm actually a very talented singer... in my own fantasy world. I probably shouldn't attempt it as people won't be able to log in anymore due to their screens shattering.

I used to draw but that hobby has faded away.

Hmm.. seems like I'm not talented enough for any of those lol.

The Skype thing sounds interesting though.

Yep, the pins were lost in the move to XenForo then readded back, but we're giving them out again for completing this year's respective events.

And nahhh, talent isn't really required (tho everyone is talented as heck here)! It's really just abut participating and enjoying yourself.

There's current about 60+ members in the Skype chat, haha. If you do want to be added, I definitely suggest messaging someone and having them add you in after you give them yourr Skype name and such.
