Well, Trent Reznor recently got married to Mariqueen Maandig and took a break from Nine Inch Nails.

After their marriage, they pretty much got straight to work on new music, in a band they've called How To Destroy Angels.

Their first six-track EP is available for download in good quality mp3's, completely free of charge, on their website: http://www.howtodestroyangels.com

I just started listening the the EP right now and all I can say right now is that it has the industrial sound of NIN but it doesn't try to sound too much like NIN since Trent is trying to go for something new. Mariqueen on vocals has given a pretty interesting twist to the band's sound too.

If you're a fan of industrial/electronic music and female vocalist, I would say that you should give the EP a try. It's also free so you're not wasting anything.

Internet connection had a hiccup and it made two threads. A mod will probably be deleting the second one soon.

Oh lol, I was just hunting for an old thread here and saw the first mention of this project in passing.

Nice of 'em to offer the EP free. I'ma test-run it in a bit, will edit this post with my thoughts on it once I'm done.

EDIT: I'm almost done with it, and I'm mostly liking it. It's good background music, but I feel like I couldn't actively focus on it. The standouts thus far have been "Fur Lined" and "BBB;" the former in general and the latter for the marching rhythm towards the end.

The EP was decent, had a few good tracks. That's really all I can say. Spaces in Between's my favorite.

Well, this was.... Meh. Its not as bad as the worst Nine Inch Nails stuff, but not nearly as good as the better Nine Inch Nails stuff. Free music is great and all, but after Ghosts I-IV, which I feel was a brilliant experiment that tests the boundries of industrial, Reznor needs to step things up here.

I'm really looking forward to an album release; I think the group has promise, I like their style, Mariqueen has a beautiful voice, they already have some great dance tunes...I expect a great album.
