How serious do you take stuff that happens on the Net?

what the title says. anything that happens on the net, be it on this forum, instant messaging, emails, online gaming. how serious do you take it? i personally try not to take it too seriously but i usually end up doing so, especially in online gaming, i've gotten angry a few times when playing Gunz the Duel, lol.

 

I chose "Not serious at all" but on second thought that might have been an exaggeration. What I meant was that I don't give a damn about insults or arguments on the web. I insult people and mock their opinions all the time without caring, and I would merely shrug if they did/do the same to me/mine.

I will listen to the woes of my online friends in all seriousness and with respect though. So in a way I do take cyberspace seriously.

 

Oi, I take things on here that happen way more seriously than I should sometimes. I have cried a few times over this damn site. xD But I think the reason I take it seriously is because I'm good friends with a lot of people on here. A lot of other times, for things that don't involve people I know, I don't take things too seriously at all because it is just the internet...if that makes sense. C:

I take nearly everything seriously. I just rarely let it show. It's hard to make me mad >D

 

I rarely take anything seriously on the internet. Most of the time, people are just joking around.

 

Some things I take way too seriously. Especially regarding this place, I have cried as a result of this site before, and I have also had major moments of being seriously pissed off >_>;

Though on the other side of it, there are some instances when I perhaps don't take things seriously enough.

I guess it depends on what exactly it is that happened or is happening.

i've gotten angry from this site occasionally as well, but i usually don't let it show (though sometimes it's tempting). i usually take stuff less seriously on online gaming than on message boards/forums.

 

I sometimes take things too seriously, but I don't respond to many of the things that make me upset. Like with talking to people THAT I KNOW over email or whatever, I take things pretty seriously.

but now it's more like i hardly care

Like TCO, i used to take a few thin's cereal. Now i couldn't care less 'bout all the events n' shenanigans that happen online. I'll only take a very small amount people online seriously n' care what happens with 'em.

Well, it's a game, and I'm competitive...therefore I take that seriously. Heh. Otherwise, I try not to take anything else seriously, but of course, shit happens and whether I like it or not, there are times when I end up taking things more seriously than it should be. For the majority of the time, I am indifferent to all the drama that takes place here or anywhere else online and I honestly try and not get involved in it. I think I can say that for the most part, I don’t really even know what might be happening with people here, unless I happen to know the person in real life or be rather close to him/her as a buddy.

I won’t deny that there have been plenty of incidents here, where any certain issue or people have pissed me off GREATLY, but then again, I’m not one to actually go and start a virtual flame war, since neither does it benefit me nor the said person. It’s best to just leave it alone. However, if the matter really seems to be getting out of hand, then stepping in to say “STFU already†to both parties once in a while would sometimes be the best thing to do in my opinion. This site’s definitely given me a rainbow of different emotions that I never thought would experience in my life on the net, but hey, it’s just the internet...and since no real harm is done here, I could really care less.

 

I don't really take it seriously. It's just small words of text. if someone says i suck, i don't really care

 

I try not to let stuff that happens on the net get to me, but lately I've realized that the friends I have here are the only thing I have to live for. So I guess that would count as taking stuff seriously. ಠ_ಠ

Pathetic, I know. But it's true.

 

None of the drama has every affected me or have I been involved in it in any way. I've tried not growing too close to some of the members here, but that's something difficult to avoid. Fortunately, no drama occurs between us, so it's all good. I've never really been upset over anything on the site, although I am embarassed by my noobier days.

Well I have a problem with taking things seriously, I think. When someone is talking about something that isn't even at all funny, I'll just go off laughing. >_> I'm not really even sure why; it's really just how I am. I like to take things light, but the aforementioned [wow big word lol] doesn't mean that if someone has a problem and tells me about it online that I'll be giggling my brains out.

As far as things that go on on this site, it hasn't exactly directly made me upset or anything like that. I mean, if a lot of stress is in real life, then sh!t from this place isn't exactly going to help. I have gotten a bit pissed at some people, though. >_>

Not really seriously... i dont go on many sites on the internet and its basically the same thing so there's nothing people can really surprise me about
