Square-Enix How many people here, knew Cloud was never in SOLDIER?

No it didn't really but it's shows how zack dies....which kinda helps :S

 

at the beginning i doubted he was ever in SOLDIER... It didn't add up for me.
Anyone who has played FFVII til almost the end of Disc 1 or early disc 2 would know, also, anyone with Advent Children.

He was with ShinRa at one point though. just not with SOLDIER.

 

They could've just expanded the original part. They didn't have to totally change the scenario. :/

Yeah, I kinda thought that Cloud was never in SOLDIER with the whole memory thing.

Due to the fact that some of it seemed hazy and unreliable so...

...there's my two cents.

 

In other words, Cloud thinks his life sucks and makes up stuff to make it sound better.

 

Yep, I know. He wasn't in SOLDIER, it was his illusion of Zack....

 

but, yeah. I'm pretty sure he was with ShinRa... how would they recognize him otherwise?

i have read the full FF7 story 3-4 times now! 8-10 pages of story :/

 

First carcrazydogboyx, SHINRA know Cloud cause he was a SHINEA soldier. But not the group of elites known as SOLDIER. Second, it would seem that even people who have even finished the game wouldn't know, because they got confused during the part where everyone had just rescued Cloud and everything got confusing. Personally I think this is because the game didn't explain certin events very well.

 

I did not know until the game shows it to you, until then I always believed he was in SOLDIER.

I remember this one part of the game where Cloud completely contradics himself. After explaining to everyone that he was not in SOLDIER, they all leave to their areas of the Highwind after some talking. If you go up and talk to Yuffie she will say how she is sick, and Cloud will say something about getting sick during a lot of the SOLDIER tests.

Kind of funny. He just explained how he was not in SOLDIER, and two seconds later is back to saying he was.

 

He has Zacks memories.

 

...How *did* Cloud end up with Zack's memories.

 

After Hojo's experiments with Survivors of the thing with Seph in Tifa's town(forgive me I haven't played in years) Zack who was immune to the experiments (cause he was in SOLDIER) escaped with Cloud (cause Cloud was his friend) But SHINRA cought them and killed Zack and left Cloud for dead cause they thought Cloud would just die seeing the state he was in.
Clouds JENOVA cells then mimiced Zacks personaliry and memories and merged with with Clouds. Thus creating the jerk know today as Cloud.

 

Ah right, it was the last bit which I missed. So it was the Jenova cells that copied Zack's persona. Kay kay, thanks.

 

I knew it, He implied himself into the memories of the storyies Zack told him as he had know memories of his own.

 

I never knew because cloud was first introduced to me on Kingdom Hearts: CoM.

 

It was pretty obvious if you ask me...

 

Zack died from Mako poisoning...

Zack died escaping from Shinra with Cloud. Zack should've had a mako shower orginaly when he entered soldier but didn't for some reason...

Yet Cloud survived somehow... (I guess Mako affects people differently when it enters their body and of course how much they are exposed to it...)

 

I knew this from the game 10 years ago. In a cut scene, as someone mentioned before, with Zack and Cloud in it, Zack was mentioned the SOLDIER and Cloud was a guard, and it was Zack who took Cloud onward etc. Sephiroth also told Cloud he wasn't in SOLDIER and even though at that point I was like, eh...I believed Sephiroth because I couldn't think of a reason why he'd actually lie. There were so many arguments though about this over the years until finally Last Order came out and people could see for themselves the longer version of what happened with Cloud and Zack. It's a great anime if you guys haven't seen it. I liked it better than Advent Children and highly recommend watching it. It clears up a lot of things.
