Square-Enix How many people here, knew Cloud was never in SOLDIER?

Just been talking to people and A LOT of them did'nt know and belived he was in SOLDIER.

 

What's the story behind it?

I thought he was an EX-Soldier.

 

I thought he took the identiy of Zack after he died and tricked himself into believeing he was in SOLDIER.

He was not in SOLDIER. He was pirvate in the SHINRA army. The JENMOVA cells putin him from Hojos Sephiroth clone experiment copied Zacks memories when Zack was killed. Their minds were then merged.

SOLDIER were a special group of elites for hard missions, much like the Truks. Rufas also said in the movie to Cloud, "you fight like the SOLDIER you once claimed to be" and Cloud counters with "only in my head".

He never thought himself like that, he became like that because of the JENOVA cells. Clouds JENOVA cells mimiced Zacks mind when he died, they then formed Clouds mind in his vision of Zack. So basicly a badass SOLDIER.

Even read the ultimania books and you'll see.

You'd be surprised at the sort of bullcrap fans come up with. I once fall upon some unbelievable information on an FF site (or forum? I don't know what the hell it was), when I was searching for Zack Shrines...

Someone, who didn't know who Zack was, wanted to know about him. Then some idiot replied as follows: "He was Sephiroth's brother who trained Cloud."

Last Order doesn't explain the Ex-SOLDIER jazz....I believe it was just a vid on Zack and Cloud's escape. O_o

Plus I hate it. They changed a bunch of stuff from the original.

Yeah, Last Order had a lot of things changed from the original. But i think its for the better seeing as the original parts were rather short and would't make much of a movie or whatever. I think the original footage would add up to like 5-10 minutes. A great deal of that being SHINRA soldiers shooting Zacks already dead body...

And i dont think it explained much either.
