We are basically talking about random killings, not specific killings, I'm guessing. If so, then running towards a place were the killer has no business in seems like a pretty good idea.

Like the janitor room, the girls bathroom, ect. There's always danger, it's impossible to escape from it completely.

 

Eh, if the killer has a knife, all you have to do is be faster than the person next to you.
