How is rap not music?

Since I see so many ignorant fucks who don't like it and thus claim it is not music. Please, tell me what validation you have to say such a thing.

Rap has instruments, rhythm(Arguably more than some rock songs), vocals, flow, a point or topic(Though the ones in the mainstream suck ass), skill, and just as much work put into it as the rock you all listen too. So tell me, how is it not music?

 

If it has instruments, rhythm, vocals, flow, and a topic, it's music. Everything that fits that is music. It's just some people don't like to accept some musical pieces or genres, and therefore don't recognize them as music. But in the end, if it has all the above requirements, it's music.

 

I'm going to go ahead and close this since in the debate section there is already a current topic about rap music. Please feel free to post there.
