    Er, maybe it's just because Sora looks slightly ONLY SLIGHTLY the same as in KH1. But, I'm not sticking with that.

    It could be that SImba can see "past Donald's disguise magic" or something. That is only my assumption, but it somewhat fits into the reasoning as to why if you think about it.

    (Remember, Donald uses magic for them to morph them or something so that they can blend in with the world and not disrupt anything. Pete would be able to be morphed because Maleficent is ALSO a SORCERESS.)

    S/N: But then again....I could be giving them too much credit. XD

    I believe it was his heart. KH always has the "friends in our hearts" thingy, and it even causes miracles such as Riku returning from the Xehanort form, so yeah. It probably was his heart.
