Ok. I don't consider myself to be a game pro, but to beat Sephiroth you have to be pretty good with games. Well...I'm battling him at level 70. Which isn't the best level to fight him with even though he's easier in KH2 than KH. He is on his last health bar and it's 1/4 of the way gone. I have 1 pt HP left and not enough mp to heal myself and no DP. I have no items and he had backed me up against the "imaginary wall". I can't use the keyblade because if I did it would leave him enough room to kill me before I could get in a combo. Plus, I couldn't get away fast enough with quick run or glide, but it wouldn't make that much difference since I have no items. The only thing I have is MP, probably a little less than half. So I'm sitting there using reflect like there's no tomorrow. So his HP was going down little by little and my mp. I was panicing because I was so close. I had one more reflect left when "ring". So I was like AGGGHHHH! Because I thought I had lost, but it was Sora's level up sign. I jumped up screaming at the tv like an idiot. And then passed out in the floor again. There hasn't been a day that I haven't wished I recorded that battle. It was so AWESOME! It was one of those break out, drag out fights. I will always remember that. So how did you beat Sephiroth? KH or KH2. It doesn't matter which one. I'd love to hear your battle story.:D

Normally, I like to abuse magic on boss battles, but the only effective magic is Reflect.

I usually just take it easy during the first 4 bars until he pulls out the orbs. Then, I start abusing Explosion and Reflect. Guard and Guard Break really work charms.

Yeah. I like Guard and Guard Break, but I know some people who don't. That ability has saved me a ton of times. I liked using Aero in the first KH, I wish it was in KH2.

    Here's how you beat him:

Trinity Limit, over and over again.

    Then, you have won.

I think he's harder in 2, just because in 1 you do the exact same thing over and over in set patterns and time frames.

The problem is that first, Trinity Limit is only effective when you're powerful. Secondly, if you don't have like the Ultima's ability or some Elixirs, it would be hard to wait for Trinity Limit.

I don't think so I did it at level 1 3 times during the battle and it helped especially when I was about to die and couldn't cure because i was in a mess of fire or whatever that blazing move is called.

Sephiroth was surprisingly easy in KH2. I beat him with the follow:

    Weapon: Ultima Weapon

Abilities: Trinity Limit, Once more, Second chance, Mp berserk(Something like that), and all the attack abilities.

Everytime Sephiroth knocked me into the sky, I always retaliated with the technique that isn't Aerial recovery. xD

Personally, I think Sephiroth in KH2 was easier than in KH. They were both pretty difficult, but in KH it was a lot harder to get around with the glide because you would eventually fall no matter what. In KH2, if you have it leveled up enough, you won't fall until you let go of the button. Plus, in KH2, you have the drive forms. The only thing that could have made the KH2 Sephiroth even easier would be Dodge Roll. I really liked that ability. In KH, I couldn't beat Sephiroth until I had the Ultima Weapon and was around level 90. I don't know why. I guess I was just less experienced then.

yeah both of my Seph fights were... interesting. ^-^ first Seph I played him at too low of level and he kept killing me so i finally went on my comp and made a picture of him with a moustache. <<<?<<< kh2 Seph I tossed my controller st the TV, broke it (oops! parents killed me but the controller survived!) had to save up for a new one (in my room so it was my TV anyway) then I finally beat him on a stormy night and the power went out pretty quickly after I anihilated him. Since then I've never played against a hard boss in a storm.... ^-^

Sephiroth was too easy in KH2. I just used the Trinity Limit on him & the other obvious techniques.

Isn't this in the wrong section? Or has the KHII section mysteriously been taken off?

Yeah I know. I was going to write about something else, but I decided to do this. By the time I was halfway through it was too late.

    All Here!

what I did was not reflect at all. I kept hitting sephiroth and pushing him into the air and "slapping" him on and on. Until he would teleport and then I would approach him and block as soon as he attempts to attack, I guard. When he casts Halo (the fire pillars) run away then repeat. When he puts these orbs around you, hit them don't reflect it takes longer. When he is about to inflict "HEARTLESS ANGEL" attack him, if you can't, then keep and elixir ready to use AS SOON as he inflicts the damage on you, if u don't have time to use the elixir, then wait untill you do the reaction command, then use it instead of attacking Sephiroth. In the end Sephiroth will throw fireballs at you. dodge them all, then attack him. Do this and you will win in no time. it is how I won. hope that helps. hehe :D

I just avoided the air, saved my magic for healing only, and whacked him around. I'm not even entirely sure how I managed to win, actually.

(I was talking on the phone when I won...which is odd.)

Me: Holy....I BEAT SEPHIROTH! I BEAT SEPHIROTH! HECK YEAH!

I don't get how you didn't have enough MP for cure but you did for reflect...as long as you have at least 1MP remaining in kh2, you are able to use cure.
