Kingdom Hearts II How does Roxas exist?

Dragons: Let’s start with the basics of Nobodies.
When a person gives into The Darkness in their hearts, their heart becomes a Heartless and their body becomes a Nobody.
A Nobody, the body of a person that fell into The Darkness, has many characteristics that separate them from Heartless.
The basic facts of… Nobodies:
Nobodies have coherent trains of thought.
Nobodies plan, acting towards a greater goal.
Nobodies do not have hearts.
Nobodies have memories; of emotions and who they were before they entered the darkness.
The basic facts of… Heartless:
Heartless do not have coherent trains of thought.
Heartless cannot plan; they act on instinct alone.
Heartless are hearts that have been swallowed by The Darkness.
Heartless do not have memories; said memories are lost almost immediately after becoming a Heartless.

When a person gives into The Darkness, their body and heart separate physically, but are still connected by a thread.
The heart, becoming a Heartless, is an incarnate of The Darkness itself. The Heartless gets, is, the heart.
Now, the body, the No-body, is a shadow of the person. The Nobody gets the memories.

An average person’s body disintegrates quickly after being swallowed by The Darkness, but someone just above average, some-body with a stronger heart, their body doesn’t fade as fast. It isn’t them, but it has as solid (or almost solid) mass; a dusk, or one of the other lesser- Nobodies. Having lost their human appearances, this person/Nobody has little to no connection with their heart at all.
The body of an exceptionally strong-hearted person, in The Darkness, would not corrode or wouldn’t corrode much; thus they would remain with features similar to their original. These beings, these greater- Nobodies, haven’t been as corroded by The Darkness as much as, say the dusks. The greater- Nobodies, Organization XIII, have stronger ties to their hearts; thus having the memories of who they originally were.


Except… For Roxas.
Roxas’s existence is entirely confusing.
(And don’t even get me started on Namine…)
He does not have the memories of Sora, because Sora wasn’t in the darkness long enough to lose all of them. He doesn’t remember much/anything.
(After Kairi brought Sora back from The Darkness, he told her about how he began to forget everything, even who he was.)
Yet he stands out, among the Nobodies, for being the most emotional.
Roxas came into existence when Sora released Kairi’s heart from inside of him with Soul Eater. (Please note that Sora’s heart was a Heartless up to this point.)
Sora’s body faded (fell into The Darkness), and Roxas was born.
While Sora was falling through The Darkness, Roxas was gaining Sora’s memories. Before Roxas could gain more than a sliver of Sora, Kairi knowingly gave her heart to Sora, thus creating Namine.

This should have created a Heartless, right?
Wrong.
Being one of the Princesses of Heart, Kairi doesn’t have any of The Darkness inside of her, she never could have a heartless, which are The Darkness inside of people’s hearts.
But what did that make Namine? Was she only half of a Nobody?
Basically… Yeah.
She didn’t have any Memories, because they remained with Kairi. And Kairi’s heart remained in Sora until the begging of KH2, when he was finally reunited with Roxas.
(If you’re now asking, “Then how come Kairi was unconscious during KH1?†I
tell you, “I don’t know.†Call it a plot-hole. Make up a reason. Maybe Kairi wasn’t strong enough then. Maybe Kairi hadn’t consciously taken control of her ‘powers’. Maybe she had a stronger connection afterwards. Maybe she split her heart in two, that way Sora could have half. That makes some sense… Hmmm.)

We know how Nobodies exist.
(Now I know that Nobodies aren’t supposed to exist, but they do exist. The go around kidnapping, killing, and making more Nobodies/Heartless. That’s a lot of ‘not existing’ that they’re doing.)
But how do Nobodies like Roxas and Namine exist?
The answer to that question is a simple one; it’s almost laughable how simple it is. I bet that my 9-year-old sister could tell you.

So how do Roxas & Namine, all Nobodies for that matter, exist?

Simple.
We don’t know.
Frustrating, isn’t it?
But honestly. It’s like trying to find the meaning of life.
You can look forever, but you will never, and I mean never, find the right answer.
And then there’s the fact that maybe there isn’t a right answer, maybe it’s just a large plot-hole that was left to raise the publicity.

I understand if you can’t accept my answer to the mystery of The Darkness, The Heartless, and The Nobodies.
It’s taken me a while to accept that I’m not going to find the answer, but at least I realized that. Of course, I’ll continue to debate and read other’s ideas; but I’ll remember that, no matter how confident they sound, they don’t know either.

Sora never used the Souleater and I'm sure we still don't know the name of that keyblade. Roxas did have memories of Sora which is why he left the orginisation in the first place, to find Sora. It was when Riku captured Roxas and threw him into DiZs Twilight town that he lost his memories where believed that he was friends with Hayner & co. Which may have been done by Namine as she has the ability to manipulate the memories of Sora and those connected with him.

During the events of KH1 Sora had Kairi's heart. It wasn't taken by darkness and therefor her body that was left behind wasn't turned into a nobody and Sora does have darkness and when unlocked his heart to release Kairi's heart his own was flooded with darkness thus creating Roxas. Soras body and Soul then created Roxas and his heart drifted off in darkness but before his mind was completely gone Kairi's voice reaced him and brought him back. Now the fact that he regained his body and soul could be cause he fabricated a new one which would explain how Namine can exist.

Namine is Kairi's nobody, both have bodies so if what i said before about Sora making a new body and Soul is true, then that is how it is possible that Namine exist.

 

Sora used the Dark Keyblade, which was made to unlock Hearts. It was a pseudo Keyblade made of the 6 Princesses' Hearts to unlock the Door to Darkness. Riku/Ansem used it on Maleficent to unlock the Darkness in her Heart that she had repressed to attempt to not be consumed by it. Sora, after facing Riku/Ansem, used it on himself after Ansem explaned that Kairi's Heart had been in him all along.

This freed Kairi's Heart and sent it back to her body and also freed the other Princesses' Hearts back to theirs because they have no Darkness in their Hearts. Their Hearts therefore would not be consumed by Darkness. However, because Sora had a body and his Heart is like a normal kid's, with some Darkness such as jealousy emotions he revealed, he was taken by it and lost his body. When he returned as a Shadow, Sora still retained his memories, though he was losing them. Going to Kairi and her reverting him back to normal spared his Heart and memories locked within.

However, his short tenure as a Heartless was enough to form Roxas, who may be a fragment of what remains of Ven (BBS) perhaps. Roxas's body, as any Nobody's form, was created by having a lack of a Heart and also having lost the body of the original person which is Sora. Roxas is an odd Nobody in that he may have had a fraction of his Heart because he obviously could wield the Keyblade and was still tied to Sora, which is the reason he left the Organization. He wanted to find out about weird dreams he was having and why he had the Keyblade in the first place. He's an odd Nobody, but at the same time, he fits the Nobody motif. Roxas may have also had that fragment of his Heart because of Sora willingly giving into Darkness to save Kairi. He wasn't doing it out of a malicious or negative emotion reaction.

As for Namine, she was Kairi's Nobody. When the Dark Keyblade was used, as DiZ brings up in the true Ansem Reports, her Heart was released from Sora. Since Darkness was used and yet she has no Darkness, her Heart returned to her body, but for the span of time it was released, it was enough to create Namine. Namine was considered by the Nobodies even to be less than a typical Nobody as she had a body formed for her by memories, but still obviously had her own body. Also, she had a soul, but her Heart never had turned to Darkness as Sora's had.

So, yes, they are both unique Nobodies in their ways but because the Dark Keyblade was used as the power that divided them up, Darkness was there and present, their Hearts were out of their bodies, and Sora was actually changed into a Heartless for a brief stint, they fit into the classification as Nobodies. Namine was kind of a ghost amongst the Nobodies even as Kairi never lost her body, but her Heart roamed free of it for a time. Hope that helps.

 

Ya i see what ur saying but the memories and everything needs to go somewhere and thats why there are Nobodies .
And Roxas did keep the memories of Kairi , Donald , and Goofy because he could remember there names , so he did get some of the memories...

So the reason Nobodies exist is because they are what is left of the b person without a heart :\

 

I think the reason Roxas and all Nobodies exist is like spirits. They are made of darkness. It's like having a body that you can see and touch but it is a fake emotion they create. I think they make the sense of feel and touch real so no one would not take them seriously. Like they said they remember all of these things. So I think they have these powers but they just don't know. You see Xemnas walk through Sora in KH Final Mix. That's where I get this idea. They can materialize themselves and fake things. If you think about it, something without a heart is basically dead or a spirit. They could be for all you know animated corpses walking around with a spirit animating them. I think that they must be cold to the touch. That's why they wear gloves or so I think. Also look at how thin some of them are. It looks inhumanly.

 

Roxas was born as all Nobodies are born. His other lost his heart. When Sora impaled himself on the Soul Taker (Riku's Dark Keyblade - yes, it DOES have a name) to release Kairi's heart and reveal the final Keyhole, his own heart was released to the darkness. It left his body and became a Shadow, as we see in that tiny stint in Hollow Bastion. Because his heart was so strong, his body and soul (you people keep forgetting: a Nobody is created by the combination of the body and soul of a strong hearted person, not just the body and not just the soul, and not some other form of life that seems to come at random to you people) was able to carry on with a will of its own, as a Nobody. Sora, as a Keyblade Master, had a particularly strong heart and therefore his Nobody retained human form with just some slight changes in his features. When Sora came back from being a Nobody, through a feat of love and shared light that I doubt even Nomura fully understands, he gained back some of what he lost to Roxas, which is why Roxas does not remember being Sora. And because Roxas could not just cease to exist without joining with Sora, Sora still remained incomplete. Roxas still had part of what he gained from Sora.

Namine was the only one born differently. When Destiny Islands was taken by the heartless, Kairi was unable to escape through the Corridors of Darkness as Sora and Riku did. Her heart was captured by the heartless; though because her heart was pure and without darkness it found a new vessel: Sora. In Hollow Bastion, when Sora stabbed himself and created Roxas, Kairi's heart was also released. Because a strong heart was released and heartless was created, a Nobody had to be created to, born from that released Heart. But, because there was no definate body to be created from, Namine was a Nobody without definate form or power. She was connected to Sora because the heart she was created from had resided in Sora, but she was not his Nobody. She was connected to Kairi, because the heart she was created from was hers. But she had no definate other. So, her form became a rather scrawny, near-albino girl with a fling for Sora's Nobody.

 

This made my head hurt, but yours is the clearest for me to understand (as well as Repliku's but this one was closer and shorter to quote :D). Most of it still confuses the heck out of me and I can still see loopholes, but we'll pretend they're not there. :)

 

I think Kairi's heart went to Sora when she passed through him in KH1 at the begining, when she was all like tired looking and just said "Sora". Riku who accepted the darkness at that point might have found hear body randomly dirfting in darkness. As her heart wasnt taken by darkness, her body was uneffected

 

It is confusing yes. Mainly because Sora recovered his body.

 

yes i think this is the only thing we don't understand about Roxas cause I'm pretty sure his a normal nobody, just with a special somebody.

Namine on the other had is just confusing.

Dragons: I thought that everyone knew when Kairi’s heart went into Sora.
When Sora and Riku were sinking into the darkness.
Riku’s gone, but Sora goes to get Kairi.
Kairi had just, unconsciously, given her heart to Sora. That’s why she looks ‘sleepy’ and fades away, she just lost her heart.
Namine’ was created at the beginning of KH1, but because Kairi’s heart never touched The Darkness, Namine’ never gained Kairi’s memories.
Namine’ could manipulate the memories of Sora and those aligned with him because:
1. She is Kairi’s nobody. Kairi loves Sora.
2. Kairi’s/Namine’s heart is in Sora.
I thought this was a known, agreed upon fact of the game. *Sigh*

In the real Ansem Reports, Namine was said to be formed after the Dark Keyblade was used. If it was before that, at the time of the Secret Cave and all, then DiZ is wrong in his statement. Also, the Kairi at the doorway was just basically her Heart. Her body probably already had gone through the doorway, I think.

As for Namine drawing Sora, yes, she did draw Sora to the Castle Oblivion which was because of her link to him and the fact she didn't want to be alone there at the castle. She wasn't sure why though she was linked to him.
