The Turkish have a saying, and it is as follows: "Coffee should be black as hell, strong as death, and as sweet as love."

I am partial toward strong, black Turkish coffee myself. With foam, preferably.

    Perfection itself.

Unfortunately, Turkish and Greek coffees contain coffee oils in high dosage due to the fact that it's completely unfiltered; the coffee grains remain at the bottom of the cup. Coffee oils contain cafestol, and consumption thereof raises low-density lipoprotein. In other words, it raises cholesterol levels and as such is pretty unhealthy for the long-run. But You Only Live Once, I suppose.

What about tea? I should have dedicated a thread to Tea as well. I find tea is far more successful in enduing me with ample amounts of energy, whereas
coffee-- though I like the taste, and haven't grown a tail yet-- renders me quite sleepy. And I would not drink any more than a cup a day, esp. if it's strong coffee like so.

Yes, and it also heightens the risk of developing osteoporosis. This is especially worrisome, because I can easily drink four cups of milk per day. I have been considering adopting a vegan lifestyle for some time now, with the exception of honey which would be inane to give up; beekeepers and bees possess a mutually beneficial relationship, insofar as the former's need of the latter's goods stimulate the bees' honey production & encourages them to expand territory. Territory that would otherwise be inhibited, for humanity's drive to conquest would hinder such if the bees were not in demand.

    This thread is going places.

    Coffee <3

Nowadays, I usually like my coffee black, no sugar but I also like to add a little milk and a spoonful of sugar every now and then.

I have my coffee with beans ground from the teeth of my enemies and brewed by the boiling waters of the depths of hell.

I don't usually drink coffee because I putter out an hour after I have some. Whenever I do get it, I like having a lot of milk/cream and a lil' bit of sugar in it.

mmm, it depends on my mood. i love turkish coffee, but that's a once in a while thing. used to have it a lot in israel, since it's like a culutral staple there. um, i do instant coffee mostly though, with milk and brown sugar. sometimes i'll mix in 2 teaspoons of nutella so it's more of a hazelnut mocha.

I've had worse things in my mouth.

    Yes I went that direction.

But no, coffee is too deep for me to drink, a meal in its self.

I live off fruit juice, which also has unhealthy affects in high amounts.

I had to cut out caffeine almost entirely due to a fun little thing called heart palpitations. Also it was causing me to have rather intense menstrual cramps.

I didn't really enjoy coffee anyway. I have friends that swear by the stuff but I'd rather have fruit juice or something.
