I made this friend at school who was a Japanese exchange student, but he only stayed at our school for two days and on the last day I asked for his email so we can stay in contact but ever time I emailed him I got and immediate email saying it didn't send. His email goes something like this: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-@docomo.co.jp

Your post is the wrong section, but perhaps if you got rid of the - before the @docomo.co.jp it might work.

Don't worry, we're (mostly) a friendly site xD

What exactly does it say when you get the message saying it didn't send? Do you get a reason or anything?

I think either the email address is wrong or their inbox might be full. I would make sure you have the email address right and keep trying for a few days, hoping their inbox is cleared (if its full), but I honestly don't know what else it could be.

Yeah I think so too. I looked up docomo and I found out that it is a cell phone or something so that also might be the problem.

Could you post the actual email address? It might have something to do with the username.

If you are typing the address in manually, make sure you're spelling it right. If it's a Japanese address, there may be some kind of odd spelling or character you are unaware of.
Also if it is a phone number attached to an email, is it possible for you to call them instead? xD

docomo.co.jp doesn't have the standard way of addresses. Sometimes they have double dots before the @. Another possible reason is that it has two dots before the @, like xxx.xxx.xxx@docomo.co.jp. This isn't supported by most email services, like hotmail for example. But I don't know if the same applies to - too. Read about it here:

I'm not sure which email service would work, but I think if you sign up a yahoo.co.jp mail account you will be able to send the email successfully. (Trnaslate the page if you have trouble signing up). And another idea is gmail account, I suggest signing up for one too if yahoo.co.jp fails.
Also make sure it's plain text you're sending and not rich. And set the encoding to UTF-7, so the receiver doesn't get scrambled text lol. (format->encoding->UTF-7).
And finally the person you're trying to send the email to might have unawarely set an option that blocks emals from certain domains or all non-mobile email addresses. If that's the case you'll have to find another way of contacting him.
    Hope this helps.

It's not a phone number nor does it have any Japanese characters.
