how do ur parents react

They don't care what I watch, as long as it doesn't involve naked women. D:
I don't listen to anime music, but I do listen to video game music from DDR and Jet Set Radio Future, which my parents like. And, they don't care what I play, so it doesn't matter to them.

 

My mom goes nuts about me buying manga, she doesn't care about games as much cept the money involved.

My dad could care less about the manga, he actually sometimes watches the anime with me and jokes about me learning Japanese from it, and we're playing KH through when we can. Going to Kingdom Hearts II next hopefully.

eh, they don't really care all that much.......they pretty much don't care what I do or watch as long as the stuff doesn't go to my head and I go running into the street all GTA style shooting people up :\

 

My mom often reacts by saying "aww tis so cute" and stuff like that...

When my dad saw my Death Note box set, he said "you should have bought another DVD instead."

They don't care much, really...

 

How my parents react...?

I dunno...my dad's not at home 99.9% of the time, but my mother doesn't mind me playing video games or anime - as long as there's nothing 'bad' in it.

And i have no dad so yeah....

 

My dad thinks anime is pure crap & will change it over if i'm watching some. He said to me when he came into my room once while i was playing KH, "What is this?... you ought to be playing something less childish".
My mum is slightly different, she say's i'm childish for watching them, but she only jokes about that. She's awright about it, she use to watch DB & DBZ series with us when it was on. For KH she doesn't think it's too "childish" for me.
So in the end my mum is more open to things than my dad. :D

 

My dad and mum are actually pretty casual and relaxed about it...heck, it was my dad that introduced me to anime and we watched T (MA) when I was like 7.

Btw, I didn't act GTA style either so I'm pretty happy with that.

 

They don't care as long as I don't push it in their faces, like playing music out loud or play Kingdom Hearts for hours while they're in the room.
I play KH in the living room, because 1: I'm too lazy to move the playstation to my room and 2: I like widescreen TV:D even though the game isn't widescreen so it gets streached but who (cept for my annoying little brother) cares?

 

My mums fine with it since i've been in to this kinda stuff for ten years now, she was fine with it from day one

 

Well mom think it is cool that I read and watch more , so she thinks it's cool.
Besides I get lots of mangas from her becasue she knows that I enjoy reading them.
She doesn't know so much about it though.

And dad is all clueless , he doesn't even understand how I managa to read the other way xD
And when I talked about bleach he thought that I was going to bleach my books xD
Yes, I know he can be a little weird.

But both of them are like cool with it.

 

I think my parents are more concerned with all the German/Russian techno I listen to. They'd rather I listen to American Music.

But as for anime music, I don't think they really care. My mother knows I watch it but she made the mistake of walking behind me when I was watching Hellsing...-cough- We won't go there.

KH, my parents like it for the Disney characters pretty much and my Mom likes the whole light/darkness thing. Dad...he just makes snide remarks about Organization XIII being too "girly". XD And I'm all STFU Dad They are....well they are kinda...but STFU and lemme play.

 

Both my dad and mum are clueless about what anime or manga is. They don't mind me watching as long as it doesn't have anything bad in it and I'm not watching for many hours. They don't know either KH and they don't care to know what it is. They don't seem to mind, but as I said before, they can let me play as long as I don't play for long period of time.
Because sometimes my head is like inside the game and I can't seem to end it...
yeah I'm obsessed...

I don't watch Anime much, but when I buy Manga, My mom's all like "I'll pay for half." ... So I guess that's supporting it. xD

As for KH, my mom just cracks up at Sora's hair.

I don't watch anime but... I play Kingdom Hearts (OMG) my mom don't care that much but me and my dad play it together :D

Well, I didn't get into KH, Anime, Manga, or anything like that until like September of 2005.

I hadn't even heard of Kingdom Hearts at all until January 2006.

Lucky for me, everything was already out and I didn't have to do any waiting for KH2.

The reason I got into it at all was becuase my twin sister has a boyfriend who liked Anime, and he convinced her to play kingdom hearts, so she did, and I saw her playing it, so I started.

But I hated leveling up, and the bodd fights, and the confusion. (I couldn't beat anything becuase I refused to get to a level higher than 5)

So I just stopped until my sister beat the game and bought KH2. Then we she started playing that I just kind of was like OMG I WANT TO PLAYYY.

Of course by that time I was already completely obsessed with Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto, and Chobits.. ^_^

And then I played KH and decided to ignore every Anime and transfer my obsession to it .

Only my sister knows about it, why I like it, and the storyline. My mom knows I play it and she occasionally hears little tidbits and calls us weird. For example....

I was playing in halloween town and battling Lock, Shock, and barrel, and my mom was like. "OMG CAROLINE YOU ARE HURTING LITTLE KIDS!!"

My dad is completely oblivious.

As for my friends?

They all love Hollister and make fun of other people at my school who like Anime. I've known them forever. They can be nice, but appearnece means a lot to them. If they found out about my Kh obsession, (And yes, it is an obsession, I took the time for both games to level up to level 99 AFTER beating the game just becuase I missed playing it so much) they would probably still be friends with me, just think I was a little strange.

I would never let them find out.

They veiw it all as proposturous nonsense; only 3 people (well, 3 fellow Kh players) know about my other 'life'.

One of them claims I am having an affair with a video game, not telling anyone..... He says its like I lead a normal life and don't tell anyone, then I go home and reject the people I 'Love' for my videogames.

Lol.

you people have great parents. My parents are a bit weird. I don't read manga, and I only watch one anime (naruto), but I never watch when they could see it, because they think it's childish. As fo kingdom hearts my mom thinks it's to violent. You should hear what she says to me when I play devil may cry3. My dad is acting like he's completly oblivous (sorry for bad grammar). But deep down he thinks I'm obbsesed. My older (very older) brother watches me play and sometimes plays himself. My sister also think it's to much violence.

 

She thinks Kingdom Hearts is too violent? Wow...Kingdom Hearts even has a E {T?} rating. But the enemies don't stay as bleeding corpses on the ground. They kinda...just....*poof*.
