    A. this should be in anything else, i think.
    B. if its in iTunes, it should be saved in my music. in WMM, click the tasks menu and choose 'Import Music'. go to my documents in the pop up and keep going till you find the song you want. click open once you choose and it imports it.

    Ehh...not sure about WMM.

I use Premier or Sony Vegas most of the time, so I just drag it in.

EDIT: ...nvm. xD Saxor got it first.

Follow what SaxoR said, or, you can try using Limewire to download music. You have the option of paying for the program (called Limewire Pro), or you could Just go with the free version (Limewire Basic). Either way, you can download the music. After downloading several songs, open up WMM, and click on import music. After that, go to My Computer > C: Drive > Users > (Insert name of the User you are on) > and then click on Shared. This will open a folder showing all of your music. Click on one you like, and voila!

Note: the site is +Edited for illegal p2p source+Note 2: Your hard drive can be exposed while running this program. This is normally safe, but, if your mom/dad has important work related documents stored on your pc, they could be seen by someone else. For instance, my dad works on a military base and works with the health records of a bunch o' people (like, in the thousands. Its a busy base). Anyway, if he were to bring his work home, and put it on my laptop, it could (possibly, someone would have to know how to do a wee bit of hacking, or I'd have to be an idiot and put it into my public folders...) be seen. So basically, a guy who saw it would know this person's social security, address, and all this other crap. This actualy happened once to some poor sap who used Limewire, and a whole bunch of records were comprimised. If your dad/mom brings their work home, I'd advise you to either not use this program (or any other peer to peer program), or to tell them to save all of their work on a flash drive. Take the flash drive out whenever you run Limewire as an extra precaution, lol. Flash drives rule, they make the world go 'round. Well, other than Foxxie and cupcakes, anyway. Hot pockets to- *gets shot*

Or you could use a converter called Eright software (google it, free legal download of the software).

    The other option, if all else fails is;
    in WMM,
    go to RECORD
There is a list for audio input (photo below)
Make sure you choose STEREO MIX
    then press "record"
then turn the music on that you want to get.
    Save it.

W7FHAX, don't put links to other sites... especially illegal ones.

As for music, you import by using Saxor's method. You have to make sure the file is supported by wmm (mp3,wma, etc.). I wouldn't recommend angel's way because the quality would be suckish...

What if the audio file originally came from a CD? Would that still work?

yeah. Depends what you ripped it as. wma files work on wmm.

And my way gets good quality recording. It records from the line inside the computer. So the quality you hear it as is the quality you get.

Just try it. It works, it's free and un-illegal.

    LOL.

iTunes is copywritten, duh. you can't put anything from iTunes into WMM.
You can with Vegas and such, but not WMM, because Windows and iTunes hate each other.

You have to get it from Limewire, Dogpile, or another service and use that raw file and not put that one onto iTunes, then you can put it into WMM. Or if you plan on putting it in there, you have to use the file BEFORE you put it into iTunes.

hope that helped clear it up.

The way I do it is to get the songs I want to use for AMV's on iTunes and put them on a CD, then save the songs on that CD to RealPlayer so that they're in MP3 format and I can use them.

    I don't have RealPlayer, so I don't know what you're talkin' bout.

If you had Vegas it'd be easier. I need to go and buy it sometime soon.
