How do I turn off my preferences for windows vista

    Hey guys, well I need help turning off my preferences file config inorder for me to save my imgs from adobe photoshop cs5 because it won't let me save anything unless I turn off my preferences, so if anybody can tell me how to do so I'd appreciate it alot. And I'm using windows vista.

    Which preferences exactly? Can you post a screenshot of what it says?

    That is not actually a proble, just a warning message. When you save a file from photoshop, it gives you this message, but then it just saves the file where you saved it.
    If you don't want to see this message do as it says: Go to Preferences->File Handling File Compability.

    well when I save it I can't find it in my pictures folder which is where I saved it but I'll look again. If it doesn't go in I'll save it to a different folder.^^ thx for the help kubo I'll give you rep for that.^_^

    You're saving it as a PSD, just so you know. :] A PSD is a Photoshop Document, which preserves all of your layers and such so that you can go back and edit the file again later. If you want to use it on the web (or really anywhere) you'll have to save it as a PNG, a JPEG, or a GIF.

    I just figured that out on my own and I'm already using the img as my sig but thanks for the info though.^^ And I changed it to a JPEG.File so...but thanks for letting me know even though I already figured that out.^^ And just so the staff knows my sig img should be 500x300 some pix.
