how do I add a prime banned group mod to my phpbb3 forum?

Hey guys I downloaded a mod into my desktop that's supposed to add a banned group to my ACP (Admin Control Pannel) on my phpbb3 forum but I don't know how to do it could someone tell me how please.^ ^

BTW does anyone know of any mods or hacks that can add a premium group to my site as well?

 

PHPBB3 already has a built in banning function, I don't know why you would need a mod unless you're doing something out of the ordinary.
To ban someone, go to the 'Users and Groups' tab at the top of the ACP. From there, on the left hand column there should be a 'Ban usernames' option. If you click it, you'll get a screen that asks for the person's Username, how long you'd like to ban them, and why you banned them.

As for a Premium group, that can be done through usergroups. Back on the 'Users and Groups' tab of the ACP, go to 'Manage Groups'. There's a little box that says Create a New Usergroup--put in the name you want, then hit Submit. You can manage their permissions and the like as you please. If you want them to be automatically promoted to the group based on post count (or some other factor), try this mod: http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/auto_groups

 

kk thanks misty but how do I set the prem group to a certain post count after I've installed auto group? also could you tell me if this is the right directory root to install the folder (public.html/phpbb3/includes/acp).^ ^

 

In the zip you downloaded, there should be a file called install_AG_102.xml. Open that in a browser and follow those instructions.

before this gets locked I have another problem, I opened up the install_AG_102.xml file like you said misty and there was an option that said installation but there were no instructions next to it that explain how to install auto group, so could you just explain to me how to install it misty? that if you know how.^ ^
