    lol gummi missions.
I never did a single one.
except on one save file way back when where I didn't do any of the journal and just did the gummi missions. I got really into it and did everything and stuff. They are actually quite fun, though that's the only time that I've done them and the probably the only time that I will do them.

Anyway, yeah. I've played it so many times that it doesn't bother me, and filling the journal in KH2 is somewhat nostalgic in itself. They are all not too challenging. It's probably the only journal that didn't feel like a chore for me, or at least a chore that I don't mind.

That's more or less how I feel about KH2 in its entirety :3

Pretty much. It's a bunch of busywork and filler, and I love every second of it

Yeah, but I don't feel like the game itself is work (except for Pride Lands.)

On the contrary, I've never even entertained the thought of completing KH2's journal because it seems so tedious, but I've done quite a lot of the Gummi Missions, hah. So I'm hoping we won't have to complete the journals, though KH1's is a lot simpler than KH2's. I can't imagine having to collect all the cards for Re:CoM...

I think we'll definitely see some tasks being linked to the journals (Dalmatians, Trinity Marks, etc.), but because this is Nomura's first foray into trophies I think he might go a bit easy at first... or go all-out and realize that that's nuts.

Actually I think I did collect nearly 100% of the cards once. Don't remember what was left. But yeah I agree that it will be a bit easy, he'll probably do at least one that's super tough though.

I've never liked the journal in KH. There's nothing to indicate completion of a section (except for FM) and it's just overall not very fun or interesting to complete.
The only hard part about completing the Re:CoM journal is getting all of the enemy cards. You're likely to have gotten every other card (except for ones like Ultima) by the time you complete the story. I wouldn't be surprised to see a trophy for just getting all of the enemy cards, and there's no doubt that there will be a trophy for 100%ing it.
I don't know, I just have fond memories of completing the KH2 journal, it was the first one I completed and I felt like king of the world when I completed it way back when for the first time. It was also the first time I had done anything like that in any game, I had never grinded or hunted (not sure if those are the correct terms, not familiar with gaming jargon) for anything at all before that, so completing it for the first time was a big deal for me, and it's nice to revisit that nostalgia every once in a while. And believe it or not, mini-games just aren't my thing, and since there's no reason or reward for completing the Gummi Missions, I just don't do them.

Although not console trophies, the last few handhelds have had trophies of their own. He' already tested them out through that somewhat. The trophies in BBS were all really easy to get, and then in Re:Coded there was far too many and most of them were just a pain. And though I haven't tried to get any on DDD, I imagine Nomura took what he learned from the previous two games and found a nice balance. I trust he knows what he's doing and will pull it off without too many problems.

Oh, I just meant that there was a lot less to do in KH1 as opposed to KH2. I'd they'd implement some kind of counter for trophies if they are based on collection (e.g. you have 77/99 Dalmatians, I know that already exists in the Journal but that's all I could think of, lol).

Oh I know, I was just saying my thoughts on the KH journal.
I think the trophies will be somewhat sparse for the journal itself. Having just completed KHFM, the trophies I think we can expect are:
    • Complete Journal
    • All Puppies
    • Beat Hades normal, alone, and time trial
    • Beat All cups/matches
    • All top level magic
    • All magic arts
    • Both mushroom ranks
    • Premium Cap
    • Beat Unknown
    • Complete Synthesis list
That covers pretty much everything. Any more than that and they would be milking the game for trophies just to have a greater number.

I can see there being a trophy for beating Riku in a race and naming your raft.

the 15 hour one really shouldn't be that hard. you basically just have to play through and not stop for anything.
the not using continue one should be the hardest, and the gummi ship ones should be most annoying.

Yeah, I recently did a run of KH1 that ended up slightly over twenty hours, and that was with all dalmatians and such (Everything you need to unlock the secret ending)
Considering there's no difficulty stipulation, starting a game on beginner (Which in Final Mix gives you a bunch of fun overpowered accessories) and breezing through the game should be a non-issue
