My brother introduced me. I saw him play it one day, but i wasn't paying that much attention to it. Then, he told me about the song "Sanctuary" and "Simple and Clean" and i fell in love with them. Next thing you know, he told me to try playing kingdom hearts. He bet me $40 i couldn't make it past Roxas' part in Kingdom Hearts 2. ******s these days. And ever since then, I've been hooked.

  2. for me, well one day a friend of mine came over with his big sis who is my sis's friend anyway he was using my ps2 to play kh2 which as soon as i saw him open up the game i was interested about a year later on Christmas i had a copy and i forever loved it until "AHHHHHHH DEMYX LET ME WIN!" the guy annoyed me to no end and i almost quit playing out of frustration but something always drew me back till i figured out how to use commit button mashing and auto valor to create a victory and from there on i have been addicted to this game and it will stay like that forever

Kingdom Hearts all began with the first release of the series, of course. My brother's friend came to the house for a day of gaming. I joined them not really knowing what to do (and I wanted to play Final Fantasy). So they play a while and I just watched. They didn't want me to feel left out so they told me I could play. My brother's friend then suggests this one game. He tells me it's really good because the people of Final Fantasy made it and that there were Disney characters in it, so he told me I would like it. So that was the day that I played it and the next day we got a copy of our own~

When I was about twelve, my dad took me to GameStop. While he bought a game for his PS2, I saw Kingdom Hearts II. I turned to him as said "I've been meaning to play this game..." But I ended up not getting it because the only consoles I ever played games on were the Nintendo 64, the GameCube, and my Gameboy Color.

Well, two years later, in my freshman year of high school, I was taken to GameStop again. (don't misunderstand, in those two years, I had been to gamestop many, many times) I decided that I needed to stop being such a wimp about playing the PS2 and get on with it, so I bought Kingdom Hearts. That day, when I got home, like I do with every game, I immediately started playing it. The beginning freaked me out, the part where you have Selphie, Wakka, and Tidus ask you those three questions? I almost stopped playing it. Anyway, some time in December of 2008, I beat it, I remember, it was a Saturday, not to mention I cried because Riku got stuck behind the Door to Darkness.

I fist came into contact with the game at a friend's house. It looked pretty cool, but I wasn't really into gaming and didn't think much of it.

A few weeks later, my little brother bought the game by trading in something. I watched him play most of it from beginning to end. I started playing it myself and came to love the music and aesthetic of the game. I have not beaten it to this day. Later, I went shopping and GameBoy Advance for $20.00 with my birthday money and had a lot left over. I saw two priceless games and I bought both of them: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. I got engrossed in CoM and got to the Marluxia boss fight in a week or so. That ingrained a love for the series in me. I pitched in a large portion of the money to buy Kingdom Hearts II with my brother when it came out, and I was the first to play it and beat it. It is the only Kingdom Hearts game I have beaten to this day.

I should really get around to that.

My neighbor actually brought the game over to my house and we started playing it. Later on I borrowed it from him since I didn't actually have a save file of my own. I played it up til Halloween Town until I decided to just get it myself cuz he still wanted to play it. So I've played every KH game since, finished all but CoM and Re:Coded because they bored me lol.

My previous best friend was absoloutely obsessed with it for a time, and I didn't completely understand what she was obsessed about. I never tried it until 7th grade, when I was surrounded by Kingdom Hearts fans at lunch, who only talked about Kingdom Hearts.

And then I bought KH2 instead of KH1 accidentally, so I was confused as f*ck for awhile.
There is another bad side by buying KH2 first accidentally, I can't get used to playing as Sora! I miss playing as Roxas, haha! XD

The commercial for 358/2 Days kept appearing quite often and about the second time watching it I started to like the song that kept playing (sanctuary). The gameplay of it looked fun and having Disney I thought it would be interesting. Took me awhile to memorize the name of it lol but after a week when the game was released I bought it.

When I started playing it and I had no idea to what it was about in the begining but I liked it. Later I began to learn more and was wondering who was Sora. I didn't finish the game at first because I got stuck (was in a low Lvl and didn't get how the panel worked) so I just left it like that and decided to get the other games to know the story. And that pretty much where it all began.

I got it as a Christmas present when I was really young. I remember I sucked so hard at the game and it took me forever to beat it but now it's pretty easy for me!

Essentially, I found out about Kingdom Hearts through the commercial. Once I saw the various Disney characters, I immediately asked my parents to buy me the game. I love Disney, so I knew I would love the game. I think my parents bought me the game a few days later. I still remember that I played through Destiny Island late at night and then I started my homework. It was definitely an enjoyable experience, from what I remember.

My brother got me into kingdom hearts, he had a ps2 and when he was in a good enough mood to let me (my brother is possessive of his stuff) he would let me play games on it. One of the games I liked to play was kingdom hearts. Unfortunately my brother got a bit sore when I got way ahead of him and told me I couldn't play it until he finished it. He still hasn't beaten ansem to this day so I never did get to play it again. But that's why I went out and got a ds, so I could play days, it was the first KH game I was able to finish.

    How I got hooked

There was something on the Disney Channel at the time that would show the coolest and newest games coming out from Disney. The moment I saw it I was like... O_O I have to get this game. When x-mas came around I got the PS2 I also got the game and wow was it the best feeling of my life. There was so much snow on the ground got so many gifts, but once I saw that PS2 and Kingdom Hearts I went nuts. Man I played the brainz outta that game it's not even funny. The only problem was I wasn't allowed to play 1 player games thanks to my parents saying play something everyone wants to play.(Everyone would be me, my older sister and younger step brother.) So Kingdom Hearts 2 came out and I hand't beat the first one either, but ever since that day I would be a fan. I just hate the fact they had to make the games for the handheld systems. Cause anytime mine broke that's the same time they would announce a new game would come out for that handheld -,- I still that KH hard though ~,^

I first saw Kingdom Hearts 1 on a magazine preview in "Tips and Tricks" and didn't think much of it, it was weird seeing Sora (or at the time "random anime looking dude") with Disney characters. Then I heard some of my classmates talking about it, I wasn't really big on video games back then so I honestly had no clue what they were talking about, I think they were talking about how the battle system was real-time not turn based, but it stayed in my mind.

Finally I was in the mall one day just killing time and I decided to go into Gamestop and I saw the cover art. I just zoned out it looked so different from the games I usually bought. The title was not centered but on the top left, the heart moon in the background contrasted with the bluish dark scheme, "anime looking dude #1" aka Sora was holding a weird key thing, and again Donald and Goofy mixed with anime looking characters was weird. Yet it felt right, like despite it being weird everything just fit.

After my little hypnotizing trip, I went looking for my parents and asked them to buy it (got the last one too ^_^) and played it for awhile. I sucked, so it took me awhile to beat the whole thing (I memorized the entire Ansem speech "Take a look at this tiny place..." because I kept dying). But at the end I felt really satisfied with it. Then later on I picked up another Tips and Tricks magazine found out there was a secret ending and worked to unlock it (there was no youtube back then), it was after watching that I knew this series is GONNA BE EPIC!

Well I didn't find out about he series until I saw chain of memories's trailer and that got me interested though I didn't get it. Then I saw Kingdom Hearts 2's trailer and knew I wanted that game. Fortunately for me I had a deal with my mom, if I got either a's and b's or straight a's on my report cards she would by me a game. So when she saw my report card she took me to target and I got it and I started playing the very next day. I'm glad I decided to get the game.

I got a playstation 2 in Christmas of 06 and with it FFX and KH1. I was initially resistant to playing KH due to the fact I wasn't a Disney fan at all and didn't like the Idea of mixing FF and that. Beat FFX and did other things but around August of 07 I decided to try it out. I quickly got hooked and obsessed with it. During highschool of that year I was taking webdesign and met a girl who had and was playing KH CoM on her GBA. It drew my attention to her and we got to chatting. About a month later I asked the girl out...We'll be celebrating 5 1/2 years March 14th of this year. This pic is us from Prom.

I don't quite remember what got me into KH, but I do remember that ether I or my parents bought me KH1 (the Greatest Hits version) and the game and I played it, I loved it but wasn't too crazy about it and had stopped at the library in Hollow Bastion.

    Then I lost the disc.

So KH faded away from my mind until I saw the secret ending of KH2 and to say it lit a flame is an understatement. It was a raging inferno and KH2FM's secret ending only pushed me further.

Fast forward 5 years later and now I've finished KH1 but still haven't gotten the secret ending, I own KH2FM+, 358, Recoded, various KH apparel and merch and my own KH2 Sora cosplay.

Yeah, I became a BIG KH fan. And still am and will be for years to come!

Well...about 8-9 years ago I got the first Kingsom Hearts game as a birthday present. I didn't know anything about it, just that it had Disney characters on it, which made me love it right away, lol. I played...and played...but failed. So I gave up on it XD (also because my PS2 broke) so after that, a few more years passed until I saw the commercial on TV about the second one that came out, which I thought was awesome, but since I didn't have a playstation, I didn't get to play it right away. Several years after that, in 2008, is when I got a PS2 again...and one of the games in the clearence pile was KH2 so I grabbed it and VOILA, the magical journey of kingdom hearts began once again, this time I was a lot better at playing video games so I beat it pretty fast, haha. After that, I got more into the online world of YouTube and forums and blah blah blah and VOILA AGAIN I discovered KHV and took part in the fan dubs, met Mike and other amazing people and have been happy ever since, lol.

Hurray! So that's my story :)
