But no seriously finding a way to make that work would be interesting. Or I could be just the protagonist and stab someone to gain the crown at the end.

I would totally try and write a story like that

but any entry-level hack would make a muck-up job of it

That's usually what I mean when I say "It's dull" in reference to a narrative idea
