Holy crap did Avatar just get more interesting

For those who haven't seen the latest episodes, I suggest watching them...now. I want the next episode to come up so much to see how this goes. I can't believe they had a story like that in this series. That was intense. Although that makes you have to think about what Unalok is planning

This is actually a minor complaint I have. I wanted some other tribe to be the bad guys for a change this season.

 

Well, we had the Fire Nation as the enemies in the first series, and now Water, why not? Heck, maybe we'll get a third series and have Earth as the next problem

 

And then air.

 

Maybe...Air is all monks, lots of peaceful, pacifist monks at that, so unless one went rogue for whatever reason, we'd never know...plus it'd have to be someone descended from Tenzen

 

That's true, but let's look at the other villainous factions' motivations:
Sozin (Fire Nation): Wanted to spread the Fire Nation's Golden Age to the rest of the world.
Dai Li (Earth Nation): Intended to maintain order in Ba Sing Se by keeping the war a secret and eliminating anyone who disagreed.

It wouldn't be much of a stretch to see a young airbender get fed up with having such a small culture and set off to make the world remember what the Air Nomads used to be.

Seriously dude, turn on the closed captioning. It doesn't even sound like that.

 

Tenzen, Tenzin, it really doesn't make a difference, as long as the point is getting across. Besides, depending how fast you say it, either works

 

Beginnings was up there as one of the best episodes of either series, imo
ember island players is still the clear winner of all

Yer, all future Air Nomads (and Air Avatars) will be descended from Aang (I AM MY GREAT X2000 GRANDFATHER'S GRANDCHILD) That's not to say one of them down the line can't go rogue. If it's far enough in the future and the Air Nomad population is back up to snuff, I could definitely see at least one of them pull some kind of antagonistic shtick.

On Water Tribe baddies, I definitely feel the same at this point, haha. Either Book 3 or 4 is supposedly gonna explore ~the world~, so hopefully we'll have another Earth bad guy again.

 

You know what I wanna see? I wanna see the Dai Li make a return via a Hitler-esque coup at the Jasmine Dragon in Ba Sing Se.

 

Why would I watch now and have this lust for wanting next week to come like you do when I can get just wait till the season's over and then just open VLC instead of waiting? :/

 

OMG it's amazing. I'm in love with this season

 

Beginnings was great but now we have to go back to boring old Korra

 

"Beginnings" made me have real, active interest in Korra again.

Sadly, it did so by not being about Korra or her immediate supporting cast at all.
