Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Katie was laying on a chair her feet up and her head in the table. She was getting pretty bored. Isabella hadn't came yet so she was probably doing homework in the library. She gave out a moan and flipped to the floor in purpose not caring of the few students who were looking at her. She shouldn't bother Isabella so she walked up to the girls bedrooms and opened her suitcase. She pulled out her broom and took out a broomstick care package. (Don't know how they called those thing in the books, 'cause I've bee reading them in Finnish...)

 

"Anyway, we best get into class." Dee sighed, heaving herself off of the floor. "Don't want to get Professor Sprout's knickers in a twist." She giggled faintly before ducking into the greenhouse quickly. She was glad to see that the class has so far not been started as the teacher was still yet to arrive.

She quickly scanned around the room in search of a place to sit, hopefully one that Zack had saved for her like in potions because at least that way she get the apology over and done with.

Zack was sitting in a seat alone, 1 was next to him, and 1 on the other table, next to there table, was empty. He thought to himself, one day, they'd look back and laugh, so he should, be more happy. He decided to form a 'Zack's an idiot club'.

 

After about 15 minutes shining her broom, Katie pushed the supplies back to her suitcase and carefully put his broom to lay on her bed. She ran away from the girls dormitory and away from the common room. When she reached the library she saw Isabella.
"I was supposed to let you do your homework in peace, but this castle is so boring alone, so I wont let you do that." she said sitting on the table Isabella was doing her homework in. Katie told her about the plan for the evening. That she would steal some food and that Isabella would help the others keep Roy busy or something.
"So what do you say?" she whispered 'cause the librarian (cant remember her name) had looked at her strictly of her loud voice.

 

Dee quickly wandered up to the seats and sat down next to him. "Hey, sorry about running off like I did. Just so you know it wasn't anything you said or did. Well... It was, but it wasn't just about that. I just really hate violence..." She sighed, trying her hardest to apologise but keep her dignity, which was something she'd never really been allowed to do before now. "We okay?"

 

"Yeah, it's fine. Wanna join my club?"

 

"What club?" She asked, setting her books down on the desk in front of her and opening the largest of the two. Flicking through it slowly as she tucked some of the hair that had fallen down from one of her plaits behind her ear.

 

"The Zacks an idiot club...."
Zack wondered wether to tell Dee why he was naughty, he decided, it'd be best too,
"Ya know...The only reason why I'm naughty is because, I think I can make friends. I find it hard to make friends, so I'm naughty, to make myself seem, and feel better."

 

"You really are an idiot." Dee said, raising an eyebrow in surprise. "Popularity isn't so important that you screw up your education for it you know. I mean, even if you're unpopular for the entire of school that's only a maximum of like..." She stopped for a moment to count up the years on her fingers. "Thirteen years or so out of around eighty or ninety. So it doesn't really matter all that much. Nothing lasts forever, it'll have to end eventually. Besides, no one likes someone whose trying hard to be someone they're not. So ultimately it's better to be who you are, not who you think others want you to be. The only person whose opinion you should care about if your own. Particularity at our age, I mean we're basically just kids still."

 

"I don't do it for popularity, I told you, I find it hard to make friends, but I try to stop, and I can't control myself."
Zack sighed.

 

"Well you have friends now, don't think you need more by acting like that. The confidence boost you'll get from being around people you like will give you the strength to make new friends. All you have to do is just well... Be you." She smiled, gently, but randomly, patting him on the head.

 

"Thanks Dee."
Zack said, smiling.

OOC: Who wants to be the teacher?

 

"You're welcome." She replied, closing her eyes and tilting her head to one side as she raised the shoulder on the same side. Giving Zack an adorable smile.

OOC- I will be if you want I guess.

 

OOC: Cool, go ahead. I'm on page 130 on 4th book.

"What the- No fair! Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw get a smaller potions lesson than us...When do we have games..."
Zack said, looking at the days,
"Thursday, yes! I really want to make the quidditch team, my broom at the moment is a nimbus 2000, not great, theres the Nimbus 2001 and firebolt. My Dad said, if I make the quidditch team, then he'd get me a firebolt."
Zack said excitedly.

 

"Least you have a decent broom, I just some old Cleansweep that's older then I am." Dee sighed.

"Alright class!" Professor Sprout said in a jocular tone of voice as she bustled her way into the greenhouse. "Sorry for that delay, there was a nasty incident with a couple of rather cocky third years and a particularly feisty Venomus Tentacula." She explained as she sat down at her desk near the front of the class. "Unfortunately I was planning for today to be a practical lesson, but due to those two boys it will have to be a theory lesson. So turn to page three and we'll get started on the basics. For example Photosynthesis and things like that. It's all very easy to pick up and you all seem very bright." She chuckled as she herself looked for the correct page.

 

"If I get onto the quidditch team, I'll give you mine, I won't need it."
Zack whispered to Dee,
"What does photosynthesis mean?"
He whispered once again,
"Is it like a photo, like, taking a photo with your mind?"

 

"No, my Dad wouldn't like that..." Dee mumbled. "Thanks for the offer anyway..." She sighed. "And no, that's not photosynthesis. I don't really know what it is, so I can't tell you, I just know it's not that. So just listen and we'll both find out."

Sprout turned to the blackboard, which ironically was actually green, and began to write out the chemical formula for photosynthesis. However as it was only a first year class it was just the word equation, not the whole chemical symbols and numbers version.
"So, this is everything that a plant needs to photosynthesise and what it creates with those two things. Carbon dioxide add water in the presence of light create oxygen and glucose."

"There you go, that's photosynthesis." Dee nodded.

"If you wouldn't mind Miss Bloodcape, isn't it? Would you please not talk whilst I'm adressing the class." The Professor said snappily.

"Sorry professor." She said quickly, shrinking back behind a book.

 

Zack looked at the black board, incredibly confused.

OOC: Do you guys want to be able to make 3 characters? However, if you do, can I ask we make them either Slytherin or Hufflepuff, they don't have many people....Oh, and I know what happens in the 6th or 7th book, Dumbledore gets killed by Snape, but Snape didin't actually kill him on purpose, Dumbeldore asked him too. Or something like that....

 

OOC: Yeah, pretty much that, just add a few layers of 'complicated plot points' to it...
Oh yeah, what are the Games lessons? I can't remember anything of them from the books...​

Isabella listened intently to Katie's explanation of the plan.
"Hmm, I like the sound of that... Gimme five minutes, I'm almost done with this..."
She scribbled some last notes quickly, mind already racking through some schemes. She muttered thoughtfully, "Maybe we should spice up the plan a bit, you know, have the feast in the Great Hall or something, raise the risk of getting caught, get a huge adrenaline rush of it, or something..."
She piled up her books in to a symmetrical pile, and carefully put them in her bag.
