"How do you know?" Conni stood in front of Lily definatly "I won't let my friend go face someone I can't, I just can't."

 

"ill be fine..."lily said

 

"NO! I won't let you! I never should of told you."

 

"im trying to help you!"Lily said

 

"I know, I don't want you caught up in this, you don't deserve it."

 

"I dont care...hes not getting away with it...and if your parents dont stop it...i will!"lily said

 

"Please." Conni begged "And they tried, they think it stopped when I was 6."

 

"you never told them?"Lily said

 

"No, I...I was to scared."

 

"Maybe its time you did tell them..."Lily said

 

"They won't belive me." Conni sat down on a nearby windowsill and gazed out

 

lily sighed"just tell them..."she said

 

Conni turned her head to face Lily "And how do you suggest I do that? 'Mum, Dad Scorpious has been beating the living crap out of me for the last 6 years'"

 

"pretty much yeah"Lily said"i would say that..."

 

"heheh," Conni smiled a sad little smile "I just don't know."

 

"dont you try to stop him?"lily said

 

"No, not anymore, he just gets angrier. I tried to stand up for myself yesterday, remember. Where do you think I was this morning?"

 

"He needs to learn to take his own medicine..."Lily said

 

Conni suddenly sat up bolt upright "Don't say anything, don't anything please! Promise?"
