"conni?"Lily said walking in the bath room

 

Conni began to cry, "Sorry, sorry, I'm so sorry, you don't need this, not with the match coming up."

 

"its ok...whats wrong?"lily asked

 

Conni unlocked the door and emerged from the cubicle as white as death, her hair flung slightly forward. "It's Scorpious, you...you woundn't understand." She turned away from Lily.

 

"whats he done? conni tell me"Lily said

 

"I really shouldn't tell you... If he finds out... You'll be in a lot of trouble..."

 

"Just tell me"Lily said

 

Conni sank to the floor unable to look up"He's always had a short temper, ever since we were little. It wasn't so bad back then, a kick or a bite. Nothing major, then as we got older I became his punch bag. Mum and Father tried to stop him, and it worked. For a little while. Then he found sneakier ways to take stuff out on me without Mum and Father knowing, stealling wands from them, punching where it dosn't show, things like that. The day he got his letter was the happiest day of my life. For four years I lived in dred of the summer and Christmas because it meant him coming back."

 

"and hes made you like this?"Lily said

 

Conni sniffed and nodded.

 

"right..."Lily said "wait here..."she said turning and walking quickly out the bathroom

 

"No! Lily! Don't!" Conni climbed up and started after her.

 

"Hes not getting away with it..."she said throwing open a door an running to the great hall

 

"Really don't! Not now!"

 

"why not?"lily said drawing her wand

 

"He's not worth it! I can take it! I've living like this for years a few more won't do anything!"

 

"He could kill you!"lily said walking in the great hall

"If he could kill me he could kill you."
