Hogwarts New Stories: Third Year

Conni sighed slightly as she sat and waited for the lesson to start.

 

The teacher stood at the front of the desk. "Welcome to Herbology Third Year. Today we will study Vermilus Tenticali. You need to get into pairs. Come up and get goggles and gloves. We will try to get some of their acid into a vile. The venom is not very poisonous. If you get done early, you can leave. Let's get started."

Nort sighed. "This is going to be easy."

 

"Great... Bitey plants..." Conni muttered standing up to fetch her stuff.

 

"They don't bite. They just try to strangle you." Nort followed her.

 

"That makes me feel better... Strangley plants...." Conni muttered pulling the goggles on over her head, wearing them like a alice-band until she needed them on for real.

 

Nort grabbed a pair of gloves and put them on. "It won't take long to get the venom. Maybe two to three minutes tops."

 

"I bet you it's gonna strangle meeee..." Conni laughed feabley "They always do..."

 

"No chance." Nort said.

 

"It will..." She sighed pulling her gloves on.

 

Nort put on his googles. "No they won't. These are asleep. It will take about 4 minutes for them to start to strangle you."

 

"I have a talent at getting in trouble. Remember I git plunged into the lake by You-Know-Who coz I called him Lord Baldamort?" She muttered so the rest of the class couldn't hear.

 

"No I didn't know. I didn't really care about last year remember?"

 

"Oh, well I did. Mainly Cade's fault but kinda not really." She shrugged "I got out and that's what matters."

 

"I am glad that you did."

 

"Me too. Nearly drowned." She shuddered "Never calling him that to his face again. Anyway, on with the Death Plants." Coni said firmly pulling her goggles over her eyes, making sure her long fringe didn't get caught under it.

 

Nort pulled his goggles as far as they could go and let go. "Owwwwwwww."

 

"You dumba**." Conni giggled

 

"The best spot to get venom is the base. I'll hold teh tentacles."

 

"Err..." Conni mumbled looking at the plant "It's gross looking..."

 

"Let's get this over with." Nort grabbed the tentaclesand wrapped them around the other side.
