"No, you don't seem to like talking about it so we decided to let it lie." Conni explained brushing the blood off again.

 

Kai walked to the outside pouch and took her bracelet off. She flew off the pouch, and looked around for anyone. She thought she saw Nort and Conni, she landed and put her bracelet back on. "Nort! Conni!"

 

"She died due to heart faliure."

 

"Heart attack? Hey Kai, can you give us a minute?"

 

Kai sat down, catching her breath. Rox came up on a black motorcycle, he had his bracelet off, tightly clutched in his fist.

"Hey, Kai...." He said.

 

Heart faliure, not heart attack. Her heart juststopped bleeding."

 

"Same thing, I think... " Conni said then cringed slightly "That dosen't really help does it. Anyway, what's brought all this up? You've never really wanted to talk about it before now."

 

"I remembered somethng she said before...."

 

"What's that?"

 

Kai laid on the gress, ignoring about what she heard from Nort. 'Why was I place in a orphanage if Sephiroth loved me?' she thought, staring at the clouds.

 

"Mom, please don't leave me!" a young Nort cried. He clutched his mother's hand.

"I won't leave you. I am just going to take a vacation. Just remeber...."

"Never lose sight of what is most precious. Protect them at all cost, even if that means causing them pain."

 

Conni just nodded, profound sentiments like that were lost on her most of the time. She understood, she just couldn't see the true meaning behind the words everytime.

 

Nort pulled out a ncklace. on the end was a locket. He took off the necklace and handed it to Conni. "You remind me of her sometimes. How she could be cruel to my father one second and nice and sweet the next."

 

'He's right, my family is the most precious thing I've found,' Kai thought.

Rox sat on his motorcycle, nodding at what Kai was thinking.

 

"No... I can't, it's your mother's. It's not even as if we're all that close." She said trying to hand it back to him.

 

"Just open it."

 

"Fine..." She muttered fumbling with the catch until she managed to open it.

 

Nort looked at teh picture. He smiled weakly. A tear fell down his cheek and dripped on Conni.

 

"He-ey you're getting me wet." Conni joked, trying to get him to cheer up. "I really do think you should keep this, it's obviously prescious to you and I don't want to be the one who takes it from you." She said placing the locket in his hand.

 

Kai stared at her bracelet, she sighed.
