"Well...they obviously dont have a good taste in what to like and what not to like...besides...Shawn,Ronan and Me all like ya....we're the only three you need outta this crowd"he laughed"so nevermind the rest...and stop worrying and enjoy yourself.."he smiled at her

"I'll fix you dress for you Maddie"Lyra said"its too pretty to through out."

Cory sat back down,looking slightly annoyed,some 'accident',she could have been killed,then he suddenly laughed,thinking of Maddie's other half "How sh*tfaced do you think Mike'll be by now?"

Lyra rolled her eyes"You know what he's like."

 

"I'll try..." Lake mumbled quietly, twisting a curl through her fingers.

Immy ran back down the stairs with a small bottle of acid green liquid. She held the container out to her sister and smiled slightly. "It'll be fine Maddie. Has anyone actually heard from Mickey yet? He's been out ages now. Not that I'm worried about him, it's just he has Lake with him, and you know what he's like drunk."

 

he grinned

"Nope...not a word from him"Cor said,then added"I feel sorry for her."


Maddie grimanced looking at the bottle."Wait...Lake's with him?"She said


"Im sure he wont try anything with her...I mean....its-nevermind"she gave up

""Thats our point mum....He's gets all 'Lurves yhoo' and stuff when he's hammered,how do you think he and Jazmin are still together? because he ....likes to Huggle her was it Maddie?"

"Not a pretty sight when your trying to eat....he also said he likes to huggle Ronan.....cos....he's....soft...I think he said."

"Personaly...I think he's secretly Batting for the other team....if you get what i mean and this 'liking' Lake thing is a ruse to throw us off his tracks....not that she isnt very pretty and could probably do better than Mickey...."

 

Lake smiled nervously back at him, it was getting slightly more difficult to remember that the only reason he was being so... friendly was the alcohol. But he had a girlfriend, nothing was going to happen anyway.

"She's so nice, and Mickey just... isn't. She's really pure and innocent and stuff and like... then there's Mickey." Immy sighed.

 

"Yeah...then theres Mickey....you know its amazing he even has friends...he can be...kinda cruel at times...though i've never seen him be cruel to Lake,or you two."


"Trust me....he can be cruel to anyone he wants to be."Maddie muttered

"Sooo....uh...."He said obviously looking for something to say"Um.....Hmmm...I dont think Jazmin and me are gonna work out much longer..."Lake was the only one he really....opened up too...and he'd never really opened up this much....or at least he hadnt when he was 100% sober,but he was steadily crossing the lines between Sober...Tipsy....Hammered..

 

"You don't think he'd string her along do you? That'd be so horrible..." Immy said thoughtfully. Her voice sounding deeply worried for the older girl.

"Yo-You do-don't...?" Lake stammered out, she was never too comfortable with talking about his love life. She always worried it'd end in her getting her hopes shattered, or otherwise hurt.

 

"I dont think he would....she's the only girl who's ever gotten him to go red."Maddie said

"I'll kick his a** if his is....intentionally or not....Lake's too sweet and innocent and she seems a little...I dunno fragile....so yeah...He's more or less a dead man if he is."

"Nup"he said popping the P,"she's just selfish.....she wants me with her all the time...and I dun wanna do that....she doesnt like me spending time with you either...."he said "But dont worry about it....she's a skank anyways...she's always wants .....more than just kissing and hugging....but...Im..."he looked around him"Im not ready for that"he whispered"But dont tell anyone."

 

"In all honesty I kinda think the betrayal of trust would kill her. I overheard her talking to him once, apparently he was the first person to pay attention to her at all at school. First friend and things..." Immy said, sitting down on the arm of a sofa.

"Oh..." Said Lake, not quite understand what he meant for a moment. Then after another couple of seconds she said with a shocked look on her face and a slightly louder tone "Oh!"
Being told something like that was totally unexpected.

 

"I dont think he will hurt her anyway...."she said "He's too...awear of her"

"Yeah..."he said nodding his head

 

"I don't think even he would risk messing up having her around, friendship or more. I mean what were the odds he'd meet another werewolf that's his age?" Immy commented after looking thoughtful for a few long seconds.

Lake took a deep breath; I can't believe I'm about to say this... I'm actually going to try and help... She thought, almost annoyed with herself.
"Why don't you talk to her about it? If she cares about you like she says she does she'll try and sort it out."

 

"Well...I actually....want it to end.....yeah its been a good year or so...we had a good run....but I ....dont Love her...theres nothing like love there...."he muttered tracing the now empty bottle again


"He might never find another werewolf his age...and Lake seems to understand him on a level...none of us do...he's my twin and sometimes I dont get him...but she does....Jazmin...she's not good enough for him...But Lake's....she's well Id never thought I'd say this but shes too good for him..."

 

"Then maybe you should tell her the truth..." Lake sighed. "I really don't know, it's your relationship and it's your call..."

"I know what you mean. Lake's just so nice, and sweet and stuff. I know Mickey isn't the worst type of guy out there, but he's not the best either. He can be a bit selfish at times, while Lake is completely selfless."

 

"A bit selfish Immy?"she said"hes more than a bit..."

"I will eventually..."He said rubbing his eye"Whoa head rush...booze's went right to my head...normaly im not like this this quickly....dunno how...made sure I ate enough today....maybe Im going to fast and oh my god I sound like my mother!"

 

"True Maddie... You know, I kinda feel bad for her just being friends with him at times..."

Lake laughed uncomfortably, at this moment in time she'd do anything for someone else to come in and interrupt their conversation.

 

"Me too."


"Comin' out for air"Ronan asked,Suddenly apperearing

ooc-gonna go now ^^ nighty night!

 

"It's almost like watching a puppy follow it's master. You know?" Immy said thoughtfully, pulling her hair back out of her face with her fingers.

"Oh, hello Ronan." Lake smiled slightly, waving to him.

"Hiya Lake."he said

"You have got a point there."

 

"I'm sure she's happy and stuff though, she wouldn't do it if she wasn't. Right?" Immy said to reassure herself if nobody else that Mickey wasn't a totally heartless ******* and Lake wasn't a totally submissive fairy princess type.

Lake smiled slightly more and went back to looking at the floor, unsure of what to say in reply.

 

"You two coming then?"


"Ronan..."Mickey sighed"we both know what you want a bit of 'air' for....your dad would kill you if he knew what you were doing....hand 'em over.....come one"

"Since when were you the big responisible older caring cousin?"


"since you decided to be like your dad and smoke anything you could....where are they? or it....hand it over."

"Of course not."

 

Lake looked thoroughly confused as to what was going on, the look of puzzlement very pretty on her pale face. What were they talking about?
