Hogwarts: New Moon

"Aw sh*t..."he muttered

 

Lake slowly shifted her position and merdged back into human form. She spluttered slightly and lifted her head. The pain and the realisation that if she passed out she'd have to go to a vets rather then a doctors and how vets tend to be more euthanasia-happy then human doctors made her give up on her dignity.

 

he looked away from her"Lake...where your bag? is it across the river?"he was trying to save her her dignity,also if he took her back like this his parents would freak and the others would have a feild day

 

Lake seemed to nod.

 

he disappered and a gold tail whipped out of sight,there was another splash,then he was back,he was a fast swimmer,he dug in her bag for some thing he could wrap around her,like a jacket or something,to save her from moving too much

 

Inside Lake's bag there wasn't much, her underwear, her dress, her shoes, a hair brush, a towel and a scarf.
Lake moved to curl up, but the pain was too bad and she yelped in pain, clutching her hands over the large gash in her abdomen.

 

he fumbled pull the towel out of the bag,it was surpising cold for apriland he was shaking so much,he looked awa as he helped her sit up,trying to not cause anypain to her,he pulled the scarf out"Wrap this around the cut...it'll do untill we get home...and then dad can fix you up."he said

 

Lake nodded slightly as she weakly took the scarf and wrapped it tightly around the cut. Her face was vividly scarlet.

 

He wrapped the scarf securely around her,"Can you walk? or do you want me to carry you?"

 

Lake carefully tried to stand up, but her legs gave way beneath her as they had done the night before. She landed awkwardly on her side and howled in pain, tears started to trickle down her face from the agony.

 

"It's ok....I got ya..."he said lifting her up,trying not to jostle her much

 

She curled up slightly in his arms, the blood was now starting to seep through the thin fabric of the pashmina scarf she had tied around her. Her face was flushed in embarrassment and streaked with tears from the pain.

 

he didnt really glance at her as he made his way carefully back home,now and again his eyes would flicker down to hers.

"Er....Mum?Look."

"Oh no...what now ?"

 

Lake tried her hardest to stay looking down towards the ground, her entire body trembling from the fear, the cold and the wet.

"What's happened?" Immy asked, looking over at her half brother and her mother.

 

"He's carrying her...again...how is it whenever she's alone or alone with him she gets hurt?" he asked as Lyra jumped to open the back door

 

"She's really accident prone, huh?" Immy asked.

 

"Very"he nodded"why are you two all wet?"he asked as Mickey came in

"River."was all he said

 

"Why's she nearly naked though?" Immy asked, her eyes widening in shock and her cheeks reddening in embarrassment for both Lake and for herself; seeing your brother's friend naked wasn't something one usually saw at 9pm on a Sunday evening.

 

"She was in her werewolf form"he said"shut up"he added to Cory who was s******ing,"its not funny."he swung her down onto the couch,then backed up

"why were you ina river?"

"she fell in."

 

"Mum!" Immy exclaimed when she finally brought herself to look closer at the figure of Lake on the sofa. "She's bleeding!"
