Lake quickly fell onto the floor, collapsed into a sobbing mess.

Mickey picked her up again and set her on the couch

The change in location didn't seem to bother Lake too much, she carried on crying.

"Well, know you're inside, do you mind explaining what's happened?"

"We-Lake and me- were outside...She said she'd be fine...So ...I went back in...and she was alone...Then...she shouted my name...Some bit of scum was trying to-"He gritted his teeth,hands balling up into fists so tightly that they turned white

"Mickey....calm down...."Maddie said

 

"Trying to do what...?" Casey asked apprehensively, although he felt he knew the answer. Lake wasn't an unattractive girl, and she looked weak and fragile. The perfect target for many.

 

"Think....pretty girl...drunk guys....what else would he want?"

 

"I thought so..." Casey muttered.

 

"Then I got so..Mad..."he said

"What did you do?"Lyra said quickly,afriad he'd hurt someone...not that this man didnt deserve it"Michael...what did you do?"she repeated when he wouldnt answer


"He uh...sent the guy running by....turning into...a werewolf..."


"Then his mates from school came out and ....saw him change back"Shawn said,finishing the sentence for Ronan

 

"Oh that's not good." Casey said, his eyes widening.

 

"Yeah well...I dont care anymore..."

 

"You should care Mickey, you could of blown our cover here." Casey sighed, trying his best not to sound like he was scolding the boy.

 

"The guy was drunk....he probably thinks he was hallucinating..."

"Dads right Mickey...you normaly think first....well...no you dont but still...you dont do something like that....its not you...then again...you werent exactly sober at the time were you? not a 100%...you probably still arent....which is why your still p*ssed...your always in a bad mood when you-"

"Nobody asked your opinion"he snapped

 

At that moment Lake's hand grabbed hold of his wrist. Her palms were sweaty and she was shaking still.

"D-D-Don't ge-ge-get m-ma-mad a-at th-them..." Lake forced herself to stammer through the sobs and shakes. Tears were still rolling down her eyeliner and tear stained cheeks. "I-I-It's no-not the-their f-f-fault..." She mumbled, stumbling over every single word without fail.

 

"Im not mad..."he said"well...not at them....im just...annoyed..."

 

Lake opened her mouth to speak again, but no words came out. Just a quiet, high pitched, pitiful noise that would make even the most cold man's heart ache in sorrow for her.

 

"Maybe you should go for a lie doen Lake sweetheart...I can give you a potion so you wont dream anything if you want"Lyra said

 

Lake nodded slightly, right now she wanted anything to dull the fear and humilliation.
